Thank fucking god Chopper's been made a mascot for Doctor's Without Borders. Currently Doctors Without Borders are advocating specifically for Palestine because Israel have forced them out of Gaza.

One of the reasons for Israel's forceful removal of organisations such as Doctors Without Borders is because they have outed Israel as the ones bombing hospitals, and not terrorists, as Israel have tried to claim. Doctors Without Borders now continue to speak up for and about Palestine to show the world what Israel is truly doing in Gaza, and to pressure them into allowing aid back into Gaza.

So here's hoping Chopper's inclusion as a mascot will get them more funding, and will get more people researching what Doctors Without Borders does - in turn, helping everyone see the truth of the genocide in Palestine.

Contrary to popular belief, One Piece isn't hard to recommend to others because of how many episodes it has.

One Piece is hard to recommend to others because it has legitimately great moments of profound storytelling that you want other people to experience, just to turn around and embarrass the fuck out of you for liking it when it introduces an elephant that can turn into a sword because the sword ate a magical fruit that lets it turn into an elephant.

My dad did the „standing in the living room looking at the TV“-move when I rewatched Enies Lobby, but all he knows now is that there is a guy who is a giraffe but he must have turned into a giraffe recently because he doesn‘t seem to know what he‘s doing. And then the green haired guy who already has three swords, grows more heads and swords and kills him.

And also there is a woman being dragged around by some bondage freak, and at some point she‘s like biting the curb to stop him- it cannot possibly be this dramatic.

There will never be another game like Final Fantasy XV because it's a whole ass triple A title that stumbled backwards into accurately portraying the intense boredom and low level existential crisis of going on a roadtrip with your college friends. This was accomplished by having it stuck in development hell for ten years.

It's an open world game that actively sucks to explore. The clock on the dashboard works in game even though you literally cannot see it without mods. There's whole swathes of interesting locations that are alluded to but the primary setting is the empty plains of midwest america. There's bespoke animations for your party members complaining about a rock in their shoe. The entire magic system is completely inscrutable. It has maybe the most masterful emotional storytelling through sheer UI choices that I have ever seen in a video game. We had to ask one of the creative heads of the project to leave seven years into development because he got really invested in making the game a musical.

It's like lightning in a bottle, but way less awe-inspiring. Tempest in an empty mayo jar.
