Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. Holy shit. This is actually the first time I’ve seen a clear picture of the absolute obliteration of Tony’s chest via the missile. In the movie, it’s shot from Tony’s perspective, so it’s choppy and fast. But now, looking at it clearly, there is no freakin’ way he should’ve survived this! I mean, look at it! There’s at least a dozen marks where freakin’ metal shrapnel entered his chest cavity Not only that, but several of the wounds are quite sizeable! And with the speed at which a missile explodes, it’s quite possible that the metal went through the damn bones in Tony’s chest! Even if they didn’t, the rib cage isn’t all encompassing. Several pieces could’ve gone through the spaces in between the bones. Tony should’ve been dead on the sand the minute that bomb hit him. 

He is one tough motherfucker! Don’t let anyone, ever, tell you different.

The wounds are probably that big because Yinsen went fishing for the shrapnel. In-Universe the bombs cause teensy-tiny bits of shrapnel that slowly wander to the vital organs they finally shred. Also, remember that Tony was wearing body armor, so by the time the shrapnel reached his body it likely had lost a not insignificant amount of the force behind it. (None of this makes him any less of a tough motherfucker, though.)
