My theory (i can be wrong) but i think Captain America will be very important to the phase 4 of the MCU. First: we know the young avengers are arriving (Wiccan and Speed) will be the first ones to feature in WandaVision. Then we will have Kamala Kahn in Ms. Marvel and then Kate Bishop in Hawkeye series. In my opinion, Steve in some way probably brought Natasha back by taking the soul stone back to Vormir and lived with her in the 50’s, in a retirement of the hero life (in Age of Ultron Natasha said to Bruce she wanted to give up of this all and live a normal life) I know we saw him with Peggy but what if he just danced with her to keep his promise? And what if after this he stayed with Nat?

Second: After all, when Sam asked him about his life, he just smiled and said it was a good life, not even saying about his wife (who could have been Nat). I know Nat is barren but Steve had the super soldier serum and it in comics gave the possibility to them to be parents to James Rogers (another member of the young avengers. I really believe that Chris Evans and Scarlet will be back to MCU in some way and we will have James Rogers too. Maybe they will be from an alternative timeline (now that the multiverse exists)

A quick brush of her lips on his cheek, moving away immediately, no pause or the temptation to linger will be too much to fight against. The gentle touch isn’t enough to leave even an imprint of her signature red lipstick claiming him as hers. Vanish the thought, he is not hers to keep no matter how much she wishes he could be.

“Nat.”

Just walk away, don’t hesitate, but the tone of his voice… she cannot deny him her attention though she knows they’re playing a dangerous game. The line between friendship and something more blurs as she dares to meet his blue eyes, his alluring gazes pulls her forward enough to catch the whiff of his cologne she bought him on their impromptu shopping date— or rather, day.

“Steve.”

Her look is mischievous as she hides behind the fluttering of her lashes and attempts to throw him off with her flirtatious ways forcing him to stand down and not make this any more than it is. He usually cowers when she invades his space, not sure how close he was allowed to be to the infamous Black Widow, but now that they’re partners— he no longer shys away from her teasing, no he goes as far as seeking them out now. He takes a step forward calling her bluff, will she hightail it out of here as she did the last time after their mission in Moscow. His smile is genuine when she doesn’t turn to leave, this time he would get his way.

“You know, it’s not really fair that you get to kiss me goodbye, but when I try to reciprocate… you shut me down.”

“I would hardly call that a kiss Captain, but if you’re interested, that could be arranged.”

“Natasha…”

“Okay fine, but only on the cheek, no funny business.”

She wasn’t expecting him to act as soon as she gave her permission, he really didn’t need to wrap his arm around her waist for a simple press of his lips against her cheek, but he does and she nearly chases him after for more. A chaste kiss by all means, but being the little shit that he is, he aimed for the corner of her mouth. The briefest of contacts, but it was enough to send sparks flying, her eyes automatically closing to savor the moment. It was over all too soon, her eyes fluttering open just as the butterflies in her stomach soars into summersaults. She can still feel his breath from their close proximity as he flashes her another one of his heart melting smiles reserved just for her.

“See you tonight Nat.”

She was still a bit dazed as she walked towards her car, it hit her like a wave crashing onto shore during high tide. Tonight? She doesn’t recall asking to meet up after spending the entire week with him from their trip out to a hidden hydra base. She finds herself smiling on the drive to her apartment, maybe he did learn some tricks from her after all.

I’m sure someones already said this but I often see Tumblr described as a hellsite. This is fundamentally incorrect.

Tumblr is the faesite. Everybody is super confused and lost, you keep running into random places. Somehow you end up stuck there forever after interacting a couple of times. The people are all strange, everybody simultaneously seems to be from the future and the past as if time is meaningless.

I was talking to @incomprehensiblelentils today about the way they keep leaning in to the whole “sister” thing for Natasha and Yelena, and at this point, there are two ways this can go. Because we know that they were undercover for a while as a family, and then they were sent back to the Red Room.

So either “sister” is an ironic acknowledgment of the year they were undercover as murder siblings, and every time they say “sister” what they’re really saying is “coworker who I’d tried to kill and who tried to kill me, with whom I shared a relatively-safe pseudo-bonding experience immediately before our fake parents re-deposited us to the murder factory where our wrists were chained to the beds at night and we both knew at any moment one of us could be called on to kill the other just to prove our worth”

Or it’s not, but we as fandom collectively decide it is anyway, because they spent a year sitting at a dining room table, playing house with someone they’d previously tried to stab for years in their death orphanage, alongside two adults who capriciously pulled them out of the murder cult, and who would later capriciously drop them right back in when their usefulness to that particular mission was done, and we deserve this.

Because first we got Nat finding her place in the Avengers. And first we got Sam and Steve and Nat as one fully-functional, well-oiled machine.

But in May we’re gonna find out a lot more about why Nat had such a hard time trusting people. And about why Nat re-finding her boys meant so much.

And I am going to milk this weird kind-of-reverse hurt-comfort for all it’s worth.

If Nat and Yelena had a healthy relationship that did not end in death or traumatic separation at every possible point, then Nat didn’t have every single possibility of family forcibly torn away from her until she found her team with SHIELD and the Avengers, which also got torn away from her three different times (Avengers 1.0 never fully formed, 2.0 ended with Tony and Steve’s airport slapfight, Secret Avengers fell apart when Thanos attacked and half the group turned into dust), and that is a lack of pathos I refuse to let stand.
