A delicious take on the traditional Southern dish, chicken fried chicken, is chicken fried bacon. The crispy and tender chicken breasts are enhanced with a savory and smoky flavor by the crisp Farmland Bacon Club bacon. This decadent dish is ideal for fans of bacon!
Ingredients: 1 pound Farmland Bacon Club bacon. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 2 teaspoons paprika. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 2 cups buttermilk. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Combine the flour, paprika, onion, garlic, and black pepper powders in a small bowl. Make sure to completely coat each chicken breast by dipping it into the buttermilk and then dredging it in the seasoned flour mixture. About 1/2 inch of vegetable oil should be heated in a big skillet over medium-high heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. The chicken breasts should be cooked through and golden brown after 6 to 8 minutes of frying each side, when they are carefully placed in the hot oil. Fry the Farmland Bacon Club bacon in a separate pan until crispy while the chicken fries. Take out and let dry on paper towels. After the chicken is cooked, take it out of the skillet and allow the excess oil to drain on paper towels. For a flavorful and decadent dinner, top the chicken fried bacon with crispy Farmland Bacon Club bacon.
