One of my biggest problems with analyzing media is that I’ll learn the reasons that a character has grown to become such a horrible person or do such horrible things, and instead of thinking, “Hey, I mean, I get it, but there’s no excuse for this kind of behavior,” I’ll be like, “No, I get it. They should have been worse, actually. Completely justified. Carry on.”
