Tokyo Debunker Kemonomimi Cafe(All Ghouls X Reader)
So, this isn’t a request or anything, but hopefully this makes up for it. This was inspired by BlossomBabbles(no ping cause I don’t wanna be annoying) who made an animal cafe fic, and I thought originally that the characters would had animal features(not disappointed it was great). I was inspired by it and made this. This is mostly cafe headcanons with an occasional reference to their ears or tails. I tried to add my vision of what kind of ears and tails they have, some are more specific than others.
They’re sorted into 3 cafes: Bunnies, Cats, and Dogs. I just put them where I’d thought they’d go. I added what kind of ears style or breed I’d think they’d be, however it’s really up to imagination, as is their outfit. I imagine a typical maid/butler cafe but it’s not specified. You can also imagine if the co-workers are the other ghouls or if they’re random general students.
Premise: Your favorite ghoul has turned into a hybrid, and what better way to use it before they turn back than make them work at an animal themed cafe.
Spoilers for episode 18 in Zenji’s
(I imagine him as a lop eared bunny boy)
Kaito didn’t even know how he got here.
First, he was hit with a curse and had turned into a bunny boy, and second, he was now working at a cafe.
Stupid Romeo, now had him working here to pay off his debts.
Although all his complaints and angry no-so mutters went away when you walked in.
Instead, he finally had a chance to impress you.
He straightened his clothes, cleared his throat, before making his way over and greeting you in a deep voice, “Welcome back, Master.”
Although his manly persona slipped when you called his bunny ears cute.
His tail was wagging in excitement, as he tried to fish for more compliments.
Any food you get, he’ll try to feed you, although he gets embarrassed afterwards.
He stuck by you the entire visit, much to the annoyance of his co-workers and the customers he was serving.
He received a scolding afterwards, but it was worth it to Kaito.
(I think he’d have the same ear style as he did in Episode 12)
Honestly Haru wasn’t sure how he ended up a bunny boy, but boy was he enjoying it.
First, he had free advertisement for Jabberwock, and second, he was allowed to work at a cafe for more money.
He was quite the star employee, minus the self promotion that he was doing.
But he still served people with great customer service.
Then you came in and all his attention was on you.
He quickly finishes his other tables, before coming over to you.
He greets you in a teasing tone, “Welcome back, Master.”
While he still works at his other tables, it’s more than clear that you're his preferred customer.
He’ll feed you himself and then wipe off any remains with a napkin.
At the end of the day, Haru has a dreamy smile on his face, and all his coworkers just smile knowingly at each other
(I imagine he has one lop-style ear and the other one pointing up)
Ritsu understood that he was now a hybrid, but what he didn’t understand was how he ended up working at a cafe.
He memorizes orders quickly, and can tell the price of each item just by hearing the name.
He did get scolded a couple times due to his handwriting, which he gets better at as he goes.
When you walk in, he brightens almost unnoticeablely.
He doesn’t hurry, taking his time to get to your table.
He greets you formally, calm and composed, “Welcome back, Master.”
Although if you look closely, you can see his cheeks red a bit after he said it.
Ritsu won’t feed you unless you ask, although he will wipe off anything you get on you.
He’ll leave to wait at other tables, but he’ll always come back when he’s done.
Even after you leave, Ritsu’s mood has noticeably increased, if his little wagging tail said anything.
(I can imagine he has one bunny ear straight while the other one is a little bent)
Haku honestly didn’t know what had happened to turn him into a hybrid, but he was enjoying it, minus the working at a cafe.
The good thing is, he ends up attracting a lot of customers, the bad thing is, there are a lot of customers to deal with.
While Haku prides himself on being lazy, he never gets anyone’s orders wrong.
When you walk in though, everything changes.
When Haku finished the table he was waiting for, he made his way over to yours.
His tone is flirty as he welcomes you, “Welcome home, Master.”
He stays at your table longer than he should.
If you order something to eat, he will insist on feeding you.
He holds onto your chin as he holds out the spoon or fork to you.
If you have crumbs near your mouth, he will wipe them off with his thumb and then lick them off of it.
Afterwards, Haku gets scolded by a flustered Zenji who watched the whole thing.
(I imagine Ed having the regular straight bunny ears)
Ed does not care about the fact he’s turned into a bunny, and he certainly isn’t working.
Honestly, who even got him to come here anyway?
He’s lounging in the back on his ipad.
When anyone asks him to work he goes, “No, I am too frail” or “Not while the sun is out”
However when he hears you come in, he heads over to you.
He drapes himself over you.
He whispers in your ears, “You’re finally back, Master”
He stays at your table, laying either against you or in your lap.
If he’s laying in your lap, please pet his ears, he enjoys it.
Be careful if you order something to eat, if you get crumbs on your face he might just lick them off.
Another one who gets scolded, but Ed doesn’t listen.
(I imagine him having a bent ear and a lop-style ear)
Rui was fine with being turned into a bunny boy, in fact he found it adorable.
Until he got asked to serve in a bunny cafe.
Despite his fear, Rui started working, and boy did he love it.
He likes looking cute for the customers, and he gets to flirt as much as he wants.
When you entered the cafe, he was already waiting for you.
“Welcome back, master,” he said with a happy and flirty tone.
He stays with you as long as he can before he’s called to another table.
He doesn’t want to risk accidentally touching you, but if you choose to feed him yourself, he’ll take the opportunity.
He’d desperately wish to wipe off any crumbs you have, but doesn’t he trust himself.
He’s in a good mood all day afterwards, his coworkers can’t help but smile as they watch Rui’s little tail wag.
(Another one who I imagine as a lop earred bunny)
He is not having a good time being both a bunny boy and working at a cafe.
He just wants to research how to turn back, and not be forced to work elsewhere.
He is not good with customers, arguing and being rude to them.
Eventually his coworkers have to sit him down and let him have a break.
However, he gets up when you arrive and makes his way to your table.
He approaches you with a huge blush on his face, as he stutters out, “Welcome back, Master.”
He will yell at you if you laugh or call out his blush.
He stays at your table, complaining to you about how he could be researching right now and not this.
If you eat something and get crumbs on your face, he’ll give you a napkin and scold you for being messy.
After you leave, Yuri gets back to his work, although his coworkers notice his subtle change in behavior.
(I imagine him with both lion ears and normal house cat ears)
Jin was initially surprised when he turned into a cat boy, but he got used to it quickly.
His ass is not working, heck who even got him to work here in the first place?
He sits in the back and watches the customers, sipping on a drink while he does so.
He gets up when he sees you enter, and silently makes his way over to you.
“You’re finally here, Servant,” he said.
He then proceeds to lay in your lap and closes his eyes.
He expects you to pet his ears, and will lean into your hand when you do.
He stays there the entirety of your visit, only getting up to feed you if you ask, and to clean up your mouth.
He secretly wants you to feed him whatever you have, but of course he’d never admit it
He doesn’t want you to leave, but you have to.
After you leave, Jin heads back to the back, although his coworkers seem to pick up his subtle mood change.
(I imagine he has regular cat ears)
He’s not even phased by being turned into a cat.
He tries to use his new feline qualities for clout on his tiktok.
Him? Work? You can’t be serious.
Leo just sits in the back, playing on his phone.
If there are any disturbances with customers, he’s there filming it.
When you come in, he’s right there next to you.
“About time you showed up, NPC.”
He sits next to you, using both his stigma and his cat ears to listen in on gossip.
If you get something to eat, he will grab your hand and lead it to his mouth.
He sighs and heads back to the back when you leave, spending the rest of the time of his shift on his phone.
(I imagine he also has regular cat ears)
Towa could care less about what he was, so long as he could hang out with the ones he likes.
He didn’t originally want to work at the cafe, but Haru managed to convince him to.
He ends up not working, just watching couples eat.
He eventually just starts doodling on the paper the cafe gave him.
When you walked, he rushed over with a happy giggle and hum.
He picks you up and holds you in a hug.
Then he leads you to an empty table and sits you down on his lap.
He’s wrapped his arms around you and purring up a storm.
If you decide to order food, he’ll point to what he wants to order.
He’ll feed you himself, giggling when you respond.
He’ll lick up any crumbs from your mouth, smiling and laughing at your reaction.
When you have to leave he’ll hold you tight, he doesn’t want you to leave.
You’ll have to convince him you’ll see him later for him to let you go.
He’s in a good mood for the rest of his shift, humming to himself and purring.
(I imagine his with either tiger ears, or just regular cat ears)
Nothing changed with him, and frankly he couldn’t care less about being a cat boy.
He wasn’t even forced to work at the cafe, but somehow he was there.
A genuine threat to his co-workers, so everyone stays away from him.
He just sleeps in the back, until he just randomly gets up.
You walk into the cafe and are greeted by Taiga.
Or rather Taiga’s hand wrapping around your cheeks.
“About time you showed up, Kitty Cat,” he says, staring into your eyes.
Then he grabs your hand and leads you to an empty table, before pulling you into his lap.
He then starts biting your shoulder, he will do it whether it’s clothed or not.
If you order food, he will demand that you feed it to him.
And when you do he teases you.
“Getting flustered, Kitty Cat?”
When you go to leave, he goes too, leaving behind several bewildered coworkers.
(Also has regular cat ears)
He’s angry about this, like really angry.
Until he isn’t, and instead he learns that he can manipulate others with his cuteness.
Romeo is forced to work at this cafe, which he absolutely hates.
But he still does what he’s supposed to, using a cute persona to mask his anger.
You come in, and he leads up to an empty table.
He sits down with you and starts talking and venting to you.
Most of it is Hyde forcing him to work when he has better things to do.
If you get something to eat, he’ll eye it for a second before returning to his ranting.
If you offer some of it to him, he’ll take a bite.
His eyes softened afterwards and he stopped his rant.
When you leave he stops to watch you silently, before going on to complete his work.
(I’m imagining with either tsushima cat ears or regular cat ears)
Subaru is originally concerned that he got turned into a cat boy, that is until he realizes he’s an anomaly and gets really happy.
When he got asked to work, he couldn’t really say no.
He hasn’t had any working experience for restaurants and cafes, but he learns quickly.
He’s really good at customer service.
When you walk in he gets excited.
He’s by your side when you sit down.
He takes your order, before returning to your table.
He sits down and starts talking to you.
He fights the urge to rub and nuzzle against you.
He brings you your food when it’s ready.
Subaru offers to feed, if you accept, he’ll actually really enjoy seeing your pleased face.
When you leave, he’s disappointed, but tries not to show it.
If you offer to meet up another time he’ll accept no hesitation.
(He has regular cat ears, specifically maine coone ears)
Jiro didn’t really have much reaction to being turned into a cat boy.
He really wanted to experiment on himself to see if he could find a cure.
When he got asked to work he initially was worried about leaving Yuri alone, but he said yes eventually.
He keeps accidentally intimidating others, some customers even running away when they see him.
Minus the whole intimidation, Jiro is actually really good at serving customers once you teach him.
When you walked him he greeted you with a monotone,
He walks over and takes your order.
He comes back to ask you some questions about how things are going.
Eventually he’s sitting down at your table with you.
He grabs your dessert and brings it back to you.
Jiro says he wants to try something, and offers to feed you.
He sends you off with an almost sad “thank you.”
You offer to meet him later, and he softly laughs, “okay.”
(I see Tohma having Alaskan Malamute ears and tail)
If Tohma is surprised about being turned into a dog boy, he doesn't show it.
He’d either take a lot of bribes and promises of blackmail material to join the cafe, or he’d agreed suspiciously easily.
Either way, he’s probably one of the best people to be an employee at your cafe.
He probably gets lots of blackmail material just by eavesdropping.
He gets people to say the full cringy names of any items on the menu.
When you walk in, he greets you in the same tone he always does, “Welcome home, Master.”
He brings you to your table and takes your order.
After he puts it in, he comes back and hangs out with you.
If you get something that he can feed to you, he will do it, and if you look closely you’ll see his tail wag a little when he does.
“Oh, it seems my master is a little messy,” he’d say, wiping around your mouth.
He tries so hard to make sure his tail doesn’t wag around you.
When you leave, his co-workers notice his mood shifts into a more sad one, but he denies it and scares his co-workers.
(I see him having husky ears and tail)
He’s probably confused at first, but then he gets used to it.
While he personally would prefer training, he wouldn’t say no to working at the cafe.
He doesn’t have any experience with working at a cafe, but after some training he understands how to do it.
He’s the politest waiter in the cafe.
When he sees you, his tail is wagging and he almost forgets his greeting.
“Welcome home, (y-), um. Master.
He leads you to your seat, and takes your order when it’s ready.
He makes sure every other customer in his district is served before he takes care of you.
Even when serving his other customers, his tail does not stop wagging.
He’ll only feed you if you ask, to which he’ll be a bit concerned about your health, until you tell him it’s a tradition for these kinds of cafes.
He won’t wipe your mouth, but he will gently let you know.
When you go to leave, he says his goodbyes and waves as you leave.
Even after, his tail still wags.
(I see him as with German Shepherd ears and tail)
Another one to be confused about this.
He actively refuses to work at the cafe, until he says yes one day.
Accidentally intimidates customers, they still get their food though.
He’s best at carrying large sums of plates, but he needs someone to point at which table the food belongs to.
He makes sure his customers have whatever they need.
When he hears the door and sees it’s you, his tail starts wagging.
He has to grab it to get it to stop.
He walks you over to your table, his hand still gripping his tail.
He takes your order, his now free tail wags super hard.
He wouldn’t feed it to you even if you asked, but he stays by your table anyways.
Feels embarrassed if he has to tell you there are crumbs on his face, so he quickly wipes it off.
When you leave he says goodbye and his tail stops wagging.
(I see him with Groenendael(Belgian Sheepdog) ears and tail
He’s more baffled then he is confused.
When he gets asked to work at the cafe he’s assuming that they mean he cooks, he never would have thought as a waiter.
His looks bring in a lot more customers than the cafe thought.
He’s diligent with his work and making sure everyone has everything they need.
He’s always willing to help in the kitchen if they need it.
When you come in, he greets you.
“Welcome home, Master.” Though he adds under his breath, “Never thought I’d say that to you.”
He’d lead you to your table and take your order whenever you're ready.
He wouldn’t offer to feed you or wait until you ask, he’s just doing it.
He’d wipe up any crumbs while telling you that you have them on your face.
When you leave, he sends you off with a smile, his tail wagging a little.
(He has the same ears and tail he did in Episode 12)
Oh boy, this is just that one mission all over again, this time with real ears and a tail.
He wouldn’t join the cafe unless his job at the Mystery Diner is threatened, or they transfer his work to the cafe.
He hates it, there’s so many people, it’s loud, and he has to work.
He still does it though, he just has the most annoyed tone ever.
His demeanor shifts slightly when you come in.
His tone is slightly less annoyed and his tail wags around you.
“Ugh, welcome home, Master.”
He takes you to your seat and when you’ve figured it out he takes your order.
You will have to ask him to feed you, and even after he will repeatedly refuse, until he gives in.
He refuses to wipe your mouth, but he will let you know that you have them.
When you leave, he continues to act like he doesn’t care, but his tone is somewhat sadder and his tail is wagging hard.
(I imagine him as with Akita dog ears and tail)
Somehow the curse can affect ghosts, and it wasn’t just Zenji affected, but Saburo too.
Since he couldn’t really be seen, he can’t work at the cafe, but you and the other Hotarubi ghouls were nice enough to let him pretend he did.
Haku prepared some sweets beforehand that Zenji had chosen, and Subaru prepared the drinks and table.
When you got to Hotarubi, Zenji and Saburo greeted you with a warm,
He leads you over to where Haku and Subaru already sit.
He gives you a handwritten menu that Haku made, and waits for you to pick out what you wanted.
He grabs your food and brings it over to you with a boisterous, “Enjoy.”
He won’t feed it to you unless you ask, although if he does he gets teased a little by Haku.
He can’t clean your mouth, but he will let you know you have crumbs on your face if Haku or Subaru doesn’t beat him to it.
After you’re finished and you’re heading out, he says his goodbyes to you with sad tail wags.
Before he goes to help Haku and Subaru clean up.
(Same wolf ears and tail)
Nothing much has changed about him, except that he can’t put his wolf ears away.
He’s excited to work at this cafe, he can learn how to be more human, and he knows a little on how to do things.
He has to be taught the cafe’s catchphrase, and he’s got it down minus a few slips here and there.
He’s taken what he’s learned from working on that mission when carrying plates.
He’s still not great with dealing with customers, but he’s great at remembering orders.
Some interactions with customers has led to fights his co-workers have to get him out of.
When you walk in, his tail is wagging and his face brightens.
He leads you to your table and gives you a menu.
When you’ve decided what you want, he takes your order.
He wouldn’t understand why you’d want him to feed you.
“Can’t you just do it yourself?”
Once you explain it’s a cafe tradition, he does it though.
He’d wipe your mouth while letting you know you had crumbs on your face.
He get sad when you leave, but promise him you’ll see him soon and he will brighten.
