Took me some time to really understand one key difference between Iron Warriors (IW) and Imperial Fist (IF) regarding how each would defend a place.

Even though IW are known for siege and breaching, they also fortify and defend if needed, in fact IIRC Perturabo really wanted to BUILD marvels for the Imperium and be its architect.

Well the thing is that, given a place to defend and fortify (I don't remember where I read It but it helped me understand it), IF would create the most resilient structure and defend it up to its tactical limit (not always to the last man standing, in fact tactical retreat is a viable option if it means the best course of action).

On the other hand IW would take defensive positions and also fortify BUT they would create a lot of successive killzones for the enemy to breach thinking they are punching through their defenses, the IW retreating into the next level of defenses and thus forcing the enemy to assault them once more and falling into another killzone, thus grinding them slowly.

Reminder that "separating the art from the artist" is a sentiment that only works when the artist is dead and no longer profiting off the work in question.

JKR is still very much alive and very much openly devoted to spending as much of her money on efforts that increase transphobia. You cannot separate this artist from this art, because she is heartily using funds from that art to fund hate groups.

I'd LOVE the idea of having a gunslinger/cowboy themed model for each army.

Like, we already have the kelermorph and It is a gorgeous bald three-armed bastard; even necrons can have one with the hexmark destroyer and some green stuff to make them a little hat.

But just think about the possibilities with the other armies.

- A cowboy Dreadnought with a six-shooter autocanon

- An ork Boss obsessed with shootas riding a suspiciously horse-like squigg

- A sister of Battle who is a sheriff dual wielding inferno pistols

- A tech priest that discovered a lost stc for a double barrel revolver that shoots radioactive sludges

- A tyranid warrior with 4 spinefists and a bioform that surely is there to improve its synaptic ability and by no means looks like a hat

- A votann bountyhunter traveling the galaxy with its volkite pistols eliminating those who disreptect the Leagues

I’ll never forget I once had to break the news to two women that their dog had cancer, and as they cried and hugged and asked me questions I said something about how I was grateful this pup had such a loving family to support her- only for these ladies to inform me one of them wasn’t actually an owner at all, she was just the other woman’s Uber driver…

So this driver tells me she’s literally never met the other lady in her life, but when this passenger started crying in the car with her dog because she was worried, this angel in the form of an Uber driver went off the clock, came inside the building, and waited over an hour in a busy emergency room with a complete stranger just so she would have someone there by her side in a scary situation. This woman even took notes about everything I said so the owner wouldn’t have to try and remember it all later.

I see plenty of stuff at my job that makes me tempted to lose my faith in humanity but all I do is remember that Uber driver and it comes roaring back to me just like that. Humans are so unbelievably good, man.

The way all legions that suffered the loss of their primarch were changed forever its something amusing that most people tend to focus solely on Blood Angels. But so did the others I believe.

Sanguinius' death marked BA with the black rage and tainted their ranks with Madness and fury.

The loss of Ferrus Manus also reached the mind and soul of the Iron Hands. Ruthless and calculating, they now feared and loathed weakness but they saw such weakness into themselves. We could say that they developed some kind of dysphoria and started mauling their bodies and taking extra risks just to get implants which, I cant recall where did I read it from, even members of the Mechanicus consider madness, for they are not improving their bodies (even the techpriest in that story says that no mechanical augmentation could par the finesse of the Emperor's design), they are just changing flesh for metal.

In the Alpha legion case I consider that at least one of their primarchs, either Alpharius, Omegon or one of them pretending to be the other, died on Pluto. From here onwards its just my own theory but I believe that this loss, though partial, translated into a fractured legion. No one could know who wants what, who is who and I believe not even each legionarie can grasps whether they are a soldier, Alpharius or many alphariuses. They are broken. But not enough to be entirely lost because maybe one of their primarchs is still around (and maybe as confused as them due to the now lost psychic link with their brother).

Finally, I don't have a strong opinion on Sons of Horus or Night Lords 'cause I have not read nor researched anything about them, but I believe It could also be applied due to the Psychic link each Primarch shares with their legion.
