Someone, Somewhere (2019)

Daily Reminder.
Moving On
Wednesday will be my last CAMHS session since I’ve turned 18 and have gotten my referral with adult services.
Not only am I going to be leaving a psychologist but I will also be leaving a service. That’s two heartbreaks in one.
I’ve been with Camhs for the past 3 years for my OCD and been in Camhs as a system for the past 5 years. I have a bad thing with getting attached so this is all hard to cope. I’ve had enough time to kind of bring myself to terms that this change is happening but it’s still hard.
I don’t know how adult services are. I’ve had my assessment and risk assessment with them. It’s basically starting from scratch. No transfer from Camhs to Adult services but just a new service with no crossover which I didn’t expect.
I will definately miss the compassionate and soft side of CAMHS. I think adult service will be less empathetic and more just straight to the point.
Its 2:41am and I’m coming to terms I will no longer have Camhs or my psychologist after Wednesday.
My sadness was never beautiful. It was swallowing 36 pills and laughing like I was fine.

To heal a wound you need to stop touching it.

Note to self: Of course, it’s painful. Healing is supposed to be painful before it gets better. Stay with the pain. Embrace it. For it will lead to your recovery.

something other people don’t realize about chronic illness: Just because I stopped talking about a symptom doesn’t mean it went away, it just means that I realized you were sick of hearing about it
