Fragrantica review for Serge Lutens Chergui

I think skinny people who have never been fat should shut up about who gets body shamed more permanently
The best way I can describe the difference is concern vs disgust. Now that i'm thin again people have made comments that make me uncomfortable but they aren't a reaction of disgust. The thin shaming is uncomfortable but the fat shaming is soul crushing. And you will NEVER forget the switch up from even people you assumed would never be judgmental like that
men are not empathetic at all but somehow always detect when a woman is at her most vulnerable
Because theyâre not empathetic but predatory

part of what annoys me about âall men are trash - but like not trans men you guys are special!!â is the idea that trans men wouldnât feel solidarity with our fellow men. that we would want to be divided from them, as if we donât see them as our friends, brothers, fathers, partners, comrades etc. as if we wouldnât want all of our fellow men to be freed from gender roles and cissexism.
yeah like what bothers me about that shit is, as a gay dude, I see what men are like when phones are away, cameras turned off, behind bedroom doors, how many of them immediately become so much softer and emotionally open & complicated. I like cis dudes as well as trans, not because I see them as some valorization of my Real Manhood, but because so many need to be held and cry into someoneâs arms so badly & i mean SO fucking badly
hell yeah.
patriarchy hurts all of us. all of us.
I have said it before and I will say it again, male privilege is not actually good, or nice. Itâs a conditional protection from marginalization but the conditions are set to make you absolutely miserable. Itâs the same kind of privilege as an older sibling in an abusive family who can protect themself by making their younger sibling the main target. Theyâre still being abused.
To everyone reading this, I am begging you to read The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love by Black intersectional feminist bell hooks. Iâm linking my annotated PDF but if you need a blank one, you can always make a copy or download for free through Z-Lib.
For a sneak peak of why, here are 7 of my favorite moments, image descriptions included:
men dont suddenly become less violent or less misogynist because theyre soft/vulnerable btw. also men dont and wont ever face sexism. if you want to feel so much solidarity with them then sure, all men are trash, including trans men (for pushing this bullshit narrative) <3

Itâs so funny how JK Rowlingâs entire career rests on the inertial popularity of a series that ended 15 years ago. All her other books fucking suck and no one talks about them because theyâre shit, sheâs completely tanked her public reputation, and fewer and fewer people want to be professionally associated with her. Sheâs gonna end up dying embittered and disgraced sometime in the next 20 years, still not having written anything of note since 2007, all while better writers render her one decent story increasingly obsolete by doing its central conceit far better than she ever could
She's the modern HP Lovecraft.
As if a book series written 15 years ago is "old news" in a world that never lets popular stories die đ besides, I remember people talking about all of her work that's come out since Harry Potter. Universal Studios continues to update its very popular Harry Potter feature, the cursed child was fairly recent and the fantastic beasts movies are incredibly relevant. Last time I was in London a couple of years ago platform 9 3/4 had a ridiculously long line and the gift shop was packed. There's a brand new big HP video game, and another novelty HP store opening in NYC. None of that would happen without an eager market. People are only so angry at JKR because so many people agree with her-- nobody cares about the ramblings of an irrelevant madwoman. You never would have made this post if that were the case.
Also the comparison to HPL is obscene. Saying we should be careful about changing hard-fought women's rights laws is in no way comparable to being an open and proud n*zi to say the absolute least of it.
All her works are best sellers lol. OP is telling on themselves here that they simply donât read enough to know. Also, it isnât her fault sheâs written the most successful book series of all time. Absolutely nothing can reach that level of hype and fame for years to come, which includes her own other works.
I've literally never interacted with a TERF who seemed like a happy and well adjusted person.
not one person on this website is either happy or well adjusted op
