“I can’t wait to taste you…” I DO BE SIMPIN THO 😳
My Tanner meme era was pure dedication (if anyone knows a certain page from Instagram, Tannerslilmami, that may or may not be mine)
"I played my part to perfection. I had earned my rest." For @varnyr
Hello, hello! Are you a fan of Gale Dekarios? Do you want to fangirl over him without being judged? How about making some friends in the process? If this sounds like you, then head on over to Gale's Respite! A place where everyone is welcome! You can find the server -> HERE <-
I have changed the name of the server to Gale's Respite. I can't wait to meet those of you who join! Fun times shall be had!
@varnyr
Gomez and Morticia Addams got divorced. I woke up mortified and with a sense of inexplicable dread.
you literally don’t need any other plot and i would watch the movie
Every 'normal' adult is fussing around Pugsley and Wednesday because "poor children that must be so hard for you to see mom and dad break up like this"
But the kid are absolutely unfazed, arguing that "it's alright they will be together again soon". The normie are so sad for the "children clinging to vain hopes" until Morticia and Gomez get married again two weeks after the divorce.
In the meantime Mama and Uncle Fester fight about which one of them will go to whose custody.
They pretend to argue in court and at meeting with lawyers over the splitting of the properties but that's mostly Gomez insisting to leave more and more thing to his wife in an angry voice.
At home they decided not to talk to each other so Lurch has to (begrudgingly) transmit messages from one to the other, even when they are sat on either side of the table.
That works (more or less) then Morticia says one word in french and Gomez run to cover her with kisses until Morticia remind him that they are spliting (that's the only moment he seems to regret the whole thing)
This. All of this.
@varnyr
Vincent is so cute 🥰
@x-mundane literally just the first part because it is important for the RP or all of it really.
i love this character so much......i hope they get seriously injured and almost die
@varnyr it's us.

I’m not sure how accurate this is considering I’ve never even heard of some of the foods they mention, let alone would I touch most of them regardless of the state they’re in
Second batch of my Midas photos. Warm sunsets really do wonders for him I've noticed.

Again thank you to @moltenraider for being Mystique for a lot of these shots!
@x-mundane snatch him tf up so we can take pics okay?
Vincent & character tics
So when I saw a playthrough of Lament of the Damned (not quite there yet myself, it's a big game and I didn't have the self-restraint not to look up all the Vincent scenes) I immediately noticed something
it might be accidental on SE/the writer's part, since different staff/scenario writers/animators have worked on projects over the years, but Vincent seems to have this consistent character tic: whenever he's feeling really strongly Some Type of Way, he ducks his head (usually looking away at the same time)
my screenshots aren't good, so from the top:
first one: the mildest example - Shalua comments how 'the beast' [Chaos] in Vincent seemed to have gone wild back in Edge & asks if it happens often. Vincent ducks his head - could be shame or embarassment, though his next dialogue line seems like he's more concerned that Chaos doesn't come out to play that often
second one: much bigger example, this I believe absolutely is a strong feeling on his part. Following on from the above, Shalua puts the pieces together and assumes the reason that Vincent has the Chaos gene is because of Lucrecia's experiments. She doesn't realise Vincent didn't know about this, effecively putting her foot in it and implying to his face that the man who is still down bad for Lucrecia was nothing more than experiment to her. She backpedals hard after this but Vincent is visibly shocked, ducking his head while he tries to take it in
third one: another big one. Vincent makes his one effort to stop Lucrecia taking part in the JENOVA Project, she shuts him down, he immediately goes to feeling resigned and withdrawn, not getting any words out after 'Oh... I just...'
bottom one: from Rebirth (see this post by @getvalentined for a video version, the way he moves is more pronounced than it looks). Barret makes a crack about 'monsters have feelings' and Vincent, who had been expressing empathy for the fiend and offering his opinion voluntarily to the party, shuts down again. Barret seems to notice this and backpedal a bit, but I suspect he didn't realise why Vincent took it so personally (story for another post, though)
I think it's likely that the makers did that intentionally in Dirge since all the examples are in the same game, but I like to imagine it applies to Rebirth since it fits in with Vincent's major weakness - he has a tendency to retreat into himself when he's feeling something strongly and to not express himself at crucial moments. He was definitely more emotive before the trauma Hojo visited on him happened, but even then it suggests he had an urge to hide his feelings and thoughts even before he had a cape with a massive collar to hide in
i just have to make it through the next few or tens or hundreds or thousands of weeks. until i'm dead
Natural model Vincent Valentine
this is honestly the funniest final fantasy 14 image i have ever seen
For those who don't know, that's Yoshida, game director for FFXIV, deinking wine while his full party is in the process of wiping during a raid.
@x-mundane gonna be us in DT.
... *sighs* fuck

Where are my Crisis Core fans at?
Wanted to see how this scene would have played out if it had been in the original
5 things your character can't do while speaking
Choke. Just think about it, seriously. Think about what choking is and imagine speaking while it’s happening. That would fuckin’ hurt, man.
Hiss. Look, it’s just not possible, okay? No matter how “evil” you want your character to seem.
Snarl. Animals snarls. The Beast from Beauty and the Beast snarls. The Hulk snarls. You know who doesn’t snarl? PEOPLE WHEN THEY’RE SPEAKING.
Shriek. Come on, 99% of the time, “shriek” is not the word you want.Let’s face it: if you put an exclamation point at the end of the sentence, your reader gets the picture. Don’t bring to mind banshees and screaming toddlers.
Sneer. I’m not even going to bother explaining this one. “SNEER” ISN’T EVEN A SOUND.
Choked is not meant to be taken literally, an obstruction in the throat. It means they’re having difficultly speaking, they’re forcing the words out with difficulty. Often used when the character is convulsed in tears or laughter.
Hiss is a low, threatening whisper. Raw, guttural, vicious. It is NOT a literal hiss like an animal, it is a tone of voice that serves the same function. Someone will hiss that they’re going to cut your throat- a message from one person to the other.
Snarl is the same kind of thing. Not literal, it’s a tone of voice that serves the same function. It’s raw and gutteral like a hiss, but more savage than vicious. It’s loud, it’s showy, it’s intimidating. It’s very alpha male, big man, look at how fucking dangerous I am. I’ll take ALL of you on. Even if they’re snarling at one person in particular, nobody better back them up or they’re gonna get fucked up too.
Shriek. Come on, seriously? We’ve all heard people shriek either in fear or outrage. High pitched, loud, out of control, feminine. Men can shriek, but it’s funny and emasculating. Think angry italian women throwing pots and pans or ladies on tables who just saw a mouse.
Sneering is contempt whether it’s a facial expression or a tone of voice or both. There are a hundred different ways to sneer with your voice, but it all adds up to the same thing.
How descriptive words work 101
Op radiating cinema sins energy with that list lol
