âToffee,â Eclipsa said. âSweetheart, wake up.â
Frowning, Eclipsa began lightly shaking her sonâs shoulder. âDear, get up.â

Marco takes Star, Ludo, and Eclipsa to a buffet and Stars surprisingly the most well behaved omgâŠ..her meal is all deserts but thatâs the least of Marcos issues. Eclipsas head is IN the chocolate fountain and Ludo keeps ordering booze with his ID while heâs sitting in his high chair.
so remember when a few people and i were theorizing that toffee might be eclipsaâs son, apprentice or even potential husband????
#i wouldnât read too much into it but #instagram is a world of wonders #â â ooc`.Â
!!!!!!!!!
:D :D :D
Where exactly did you find this? Itâs amazing.

Though her heart ached, Eclipsa fell back on her years of growing up in Butterfly castle to wear a composed mask while she walked through the devastated monster village, one in a long line she had encountered in her lifetime. Her current attempts to reclaim her kingdom and make it obey their queen certainly didnât help curb the destruction.
She had to search for any survivors, even if there was only her to offer any relief. It had been days and she had already traveled far, but still Eclipsa remained separated from one of her squadrons after the latest battle with Butterfly forces. (She still carried hope that the monstersâand few mewman peasantsâof that squadron werenât all dead.)Â
Eclipsa stilled when she heard a small sound, and the grip on her wand marginally tightened. Either it was a survivor, or an enemy knight serving the regent-king, her ex-husband. If it was the former, she had to keep tight control over her fighting instinct; it would not do to even accidentally take a threatening stance against someone who had likely already suffered enough.
Looking toward the sound, Eclipsa did indeed find the former: a Septarian monster child around the corner of a ruined house.
Eclipsa lowered her umbrella-wand, knelt down, and held out one bandaged-but-still-gloved hand out to the child. âItâs all right,â she said, her voice clear and gentle. âIâm here to help.â
The small reptilian curled further in on himself upon the sound of steps coming closer and closer, under part of the roof thatâd fallen in. Heâd heard enough to know that anything looking like a wand was not good news, but he had nowhere else to goâhe could only bite if need be. Maybe run aaay while she was distractedâŠ
When the child stayed where he was under the fallen roof, curling up tighter and retreating further from her, Eclipsa slowly rose up.
She considered the shattered roof he hid under. Eclipsa worried about its integrity, but she reminded herself to be calm, and not immediately use magic to fortify it, something that would surely frighten the poor child. (If she used any spells, she would have to do so carefully.) For now, the roof seemed to hold. She did not have to act rashly yet.
Eclipsa folded one of her arms close to her chest, and hung the hook of her umbrella-wand there, and just as slowly walked forward, her other hand unhooking the waterskin from her belt.Â
When she was closer to his shelter, she knelt down again, and left the waterskin where he should be able to reach it--and also in a spot where he didnât have to leave his shelter yet.
Eclipsa retreated back, took a moment to pull out some ration bread from the bags on her belt, then stepped forward again to leave the food for him there, next to the waterskin.
Once more, she retreated back, and waited.
The question, are you hurt?, was on her lips. But Eclipsa thought it might be too much too soon, and the child may misunderstand and distrust her too much to give any answers. (Though the likelihood of her avoiding that at all was frankly slim.)
Though he could be curled tight enough to be hiding a wound, it didnât seem like the child was severely hurt and in need of immediate attention. Hopefully she was making the right call.
If the young monster moved for the food and drink, Eclipsa might be able to see if he was hurt just from that.Â

SVtFoE Theory about Eclipsa/Monster Love...
So, Iâm fond of the Toffee-is-Eclipsaâs-Half-Mewman-Half-Monster-Son theory. I always feel rather pleased whenever I see someone bring up that idea, wondering if it could be true (I feel like trying to compile a list of those instances someday before season 3 starts). I have a lot of thoughts about this theory! Want to share more of them. Gonna try to focus on something I have not seen anyone else bring up, and it just keeps calling my attention.
