It hit her hard hearing an outsiders point of view on the death of her husband. Bekka shook and cried clearly being upset by something her said. “…That- that was Dimitri.” she shook her head. “He was murdered.”

Vera overheard the news as she stood in the doorway. “Carter? Carter!” Her pupils dilated in the worst way. “That body can’t be his.” She made eye contact with Bekka this was no joke. “No.” Vera cracked right before their eyes. Vera began to destroy the room. Bekka did not need this right now, “Stop. Stop it Vera!” Bekka screamed. Vera’s actions only made Bekka sob that much harder

Dallas couldn’t believe what he heard. Why did this hurt him so badly? Why did he feel such terrible Grief at the death of his long time friends? husbands death? he almost felt like denial. “Vera!” Dallas grabbed her as she fought his grip. “Vera don’t. It’s alright.”He felt her heart pounding against his chest she needed help. “Doctor!, Doc! Vera there’s a baby in here we gotta calm down it’s gonna be alright.” He looked at Bekka as he held Vera. “Alright right back.” He said meaning whatever he done to help Vera he would be back to see Bekka because he could only imagine how she was doing.

Reese looked up the best he could and seen what was going on. He tried to move himself with his arms but his lower half felt like dead weight and he was too bled out to make his heart beat any faster. “Nova, Nova! Nova sobbed and did as Reese asked pulling down her pants, “I called mom.” She said and was in extreme pain as she doubled over towards Reese so he could feel of her dilation. “Please,” she looked at her husband with his fingers “Don’t die.” She was scared and afraid of losing him even though their relationship was fucked.

Dimitri was officially horrified seeing something the truly was not expecting. He was right beside her on the floor keeled and he placed his hands over her wounds. “Vera! No, no.”It was almost like he was trying to push her blood back into her body. Hearing the news that she had lost her baby and now might die too made him wonder if she’d rather die and that only made him more upset and scared him because he was afraid she wouldn’t fight to live and he loved her too much to lose her. Hearing Russo was one of them stopped him in his tracks. “What?” He was confused but realized. “Vera, Russo do this to you?” He did. “I’ll kill him. I swear to you he’ll gonna pay.” He held her hand tight before looking over and seeing Nora. “No, what no! Vera’s breathing became shallow  but she manged to mumble, “…Kill him.” she nods the blood was drying on her teeth and lips right before his eyes Vera didn’t have much time left before she’d bleed out and she knew this. “…I’m–dying,” she shook feeling the tempter in her body drop. “It’s been a pleasure, Carter.” She looked up at her best friend they had been through hell to get to here.

About this time Nora came blazin with her own glock stumbling upon the scene. “Holy shit!” She looked at Dimitri because she knew he and Vera were close. “I don’t mean to be insensitive but where is our daughter? she’s in labor! I need to get to her now.” Vera looked over at Dimitri hearing a child was in need of making it into this world. “Go now, Your daughter needs you.” Her grip on his hand lifted. She’d be okay to die alone knowing it was her love for kids being the reason. Vera thought of her two sweet boys. “Take care of both my boys.” She said weakly before losing consciousness.

Dimitri seeing her tremble made him start to just because she was his baby but he got a hold of it well and stopped. Dimitri grabbed his daughter’s hand and she lead him to Reese as Dimitri covered her. “ He looked at Reese and seen the blood puddle he was laying in and didn’t know what was gonna happen. “Alright, it’s alright.” He tried to think about what to do and what would be safest for his daughter. “Reese are you cold?” Dimitri asked. “Cold? am a cold? I don’t need a blanket I need a doctor!” Reese breathed heavily and frustrated. “I’m not even in pain!”

Reese was technically a doctor and knew this wasn’t good as did Dimitri. “We can’t move him.” He looked at Nova they had to leave him as he was if he was going to live and that came with risks of it’s own. “Act dead, Reese you don’t have a choice.” Dimitri kneels down with Nova. “I know, I’m so sorry baby, but come here.” He felt bad that this might disturb her but he felt it was best and most safe for her to hide amongst the dead if she had to. He gently lowered her head to the floor to the puddle of Reese’s blood on one side soaking the roots of her hair in it leaving it to drip down her neck and forehead  and placed some at her nose as if she’d been shot in the head and killed. Dimitri looked around and seen a desk to put her under  and positioned her the way he felt she’d just fallen and died.

“Breathe slow baby close your eyes and no matter what you hear you have to stay calm okay. You’ve spent all this time learning how to act like you feel nothing. Now’s the time to really use that. “Dimitri made the bold move of disarming himself and placing his gun under Nova. “Only pull that out if you really need it, baby. Only if they see you’re not dead. I’m gonna do everything in my power to make sure no one else makes their way though her alright?” He kissed her on top of the head. “I love you. You’re gonna be okay. Daddy’ll be right back.” Dimitri quickly left to go to get better means from the weapons closet taking a machine gun and glock because a revolver wasn’t going to cut it anymore. The shots rang on and it felt like half an hour had went by but it was only about ten minutes at the most. He retrieved his gun and was on his way back to Nova when he heard Vera Scream He double take’d at the door where Nova was and seeming that no one was in there and he ran where her voice had been heard making his way to her cubicle killing his on his path if necessary. “Vera!” He called out loud for her through the chaos.

“You’re just going to leave him!?” Nova looked at poor Reese how could she be so helpless right now?”  She freaked out when Dimitri took her and placed the blood upon her flesh. “Dad what are you doing?” she shook and it felt morbid. “You’re giving me your weapon!” she cried. “I love you too Daaad, please come back!” She was worried that she may never see her father alive again. Meanwhile Dimitri left and Nova shook until she felt her water break. ‘Reese!” She said feeling herself soaked. “I’m going to have the baby right now. Help me Please help me what do I?! Reese!”

What Dimitri heard on the other end was something every parent dreads and hopes they’ll never have to hear. Something was wrong with their child. It felt like the breath had been stolen from his lungs but that did not stop him from moving. Dimitri dressed quickly. “Bekka, baby, wake up.” He said softly as he was dressing her even as she lay. He put their red flannel shirt on her since he ripped off her tank and he helped her up. “Lets go.” He said not yet telling her what was happening because they had drive and he didn’t want her to be feeling this pain was fear of the unknown and didn’t know if she brought her meds because he didn’t want her to suffer though a panic attack on top of all of this. He knew how she hated not feeling in control and this was the ultimate out of her control. Dimitri held her hand and they walked a fast pace to the car. “Buckle up.” He said and he sped like he was in a cop car. As they approached the hospital Dimitri glanced at Bekka as they pulled in. “He’s gonna be okay, Bekk.” Dimitri started. “We’re gonna figure everything out and he’s gonna be fine.” At this point he knew she was tore up but they had to go to their baby. “I don’t have all the details yet but when I do you’ll know every bit of it.” They got out and ran into the hospital.

About the time Dimitri ran up to the front desk of the floor Gadget was on Dimitri heard his baby cry. Saying nothing he darts to where the sound was coming from knowing their son’s cry so well he didn’t even have to ask he just knew where he was. “Gadget!” Dimitri called out to his son and stopped himself at the door way and walked in He saw his baby with a iv and an oxygen mask on that was just there to help him but it didn’t make it any easier to see. “What happened?” Dimitri asked Vera and Dallas who were in the room with them. Dimitri caressed his baby boy’s hair and started unbuttoning his own shirt before picking up gadget and holding him to his chest because that was the only thing he knew to do that made Gadget feel safe. Dimitri looked up at Bekka and When Ty saw her he laughed and said Ma’ and reached out for her but even he could tell something was wrong.

At first Bekka was startled, “What is it a bear, Dim?” She asked as he dressed her. Bekka quickly picked up the pace as they ran to the car. “What’s going on?” she asked clueless. 

Once she seen the hospital was up ahead Bekka knew something was wrong. “Dimitri! What happened?!” She said frantic. “The boys!” She started as he assured  her it was going to be okay. Bekka followed right close to Dimitri in the hospital to Gadget’s room. Her scared eyes scanned the room. Seeing Dimitri care for their son made her feel emotional as she heard a little voice. “Hey there baby, “ She swooped Ty up in her arms and kissed his head. Seeing Thaddeus standing in the corner beck outstretched her arm for him. “Come to mommy,” She said and Thaddeus frown turned to a smile and he walked over there to her and she looped her arm around him holding his hand. The relief was the best feeling seeing all their kids are still alive. Gadget looked Bekka’s way as he scratched a little at Dimitri’s chest to cope.”It’s okay Gadgy.” She said softly. “Mommy and Daddy are here.” Bekka said and looked over at Vera with evil eyes.

“Yeah, guess I did.” He said without thinking because he was so used to trying to impress Vera and show that he was capable. “I mean or she got me I mean there’s proof that she took me there but none that she ever… ya know That’s TMI.” He needed to shut up. He was shocked by how quick Bekka was to shut down the idea of more kids but he cracked it up to the fact that she literally just had one. “What? No you’re just saying that because you just gave birth. You’ll gave your mind or forget to take birth control later.” He teased. “Bye. Vera hugs him back and pulls away as she  furrows her brow. “Carter are you sure about marrying her? I thought you guys were having issues are those resolved? I want to be happy for you but I’m worried about my best friend.”

He felt like he truly made a move his mother would have made because Nick was there at Walter’s funeral and seen the way Dimitri seemed to read off of Bekka and know what she needed and was it when he felt fit. They could have been happy they seemed happy and then Nick got weak and selfish and stepped intl the middle of that and might have changed those kiddies life.

Vera turned on the somebody’s gon get their ass kicked song and played it as if it was Dimitri anthem of the moment. She snickered and stood behind Dimitri she would back him up on anything he wanted to say to this guy. “O’wowies! That really was something. I apologize for all those times I doubted male territory. What Carter said! You’re a homewrecker. Disgusting is an understatement.” She shut up and watched some more and then walked out with Dimitri. “Carter women lie. Nothing! apparently you both have her. o’my god that poor baby! What are you going to do to feed him Carter!? Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad I know when Andie died it wasn’t near as bad as it should have been on me and now I don’t even miss him. Did she ever think about anything other than herself?” Vera was pissed.

He then proceeded to lose his cool and punch Ben. “Screw you, you justified commissioner wannabe polygamist and your little blonde surrogate pocket cunt and lets not forget about your psycho killer crazy eyed wife, You stupid little man.” Dimitri huffed and walked out running his hand threw his hair as he stormed out pushing the doors open like they were weightless. “We’ve got to get rid of him.” Ben he meant.
