Love, Loss and Grief
It hit her hard hearing an outsiders point of view on the death of her husband. Bekka shook and cried clearly being upset by something her said. “…That- that was Dimitri.” she shook her head. “He was murdered.”
Vera overheard the news as she stood in the doorway. “Carter? Carter!” Her pupils dilated in the worst way. “That body can’t be his.” She made eye contact with Bekka this was no joke. “No.” Vera cracked right before their eyes. Vera began to destroy the room. Bekka did not need this right now, “Stop. Stop it Vera!” Bekka screamed. Vera’s actions only made Bekka sob that much harder
Dallas couldn’t believe what he heard. Why did this hurt him so badly? Why did he feel such terrible Grief at the death of his long time friends? husbands death? he almost felt like denial. “Vera!” Dallas grabbed her as she fought his grip. “Vera don’t. It’s alright.”He felt her heart pounding against his chest she needed help. “Doctor!, Doc! Vera there’s a baby in here we gotta calm down it’s gonna be alright.” He looked at Bekka as he held Vera. “Alright right back.” He said meaning whatever he done to help Vera he would be back to see Bekka because he could only imagine how she was doing.
Ezra fucked up big time. His expression dropped completely. “Oh my god.” He looked like he didn’t know what to do. “Aggie- I-I I am so sorry. I had no idea.” Ezra was bad at situations like this and never really had to deal with death like this.
Nick face palmed. The fuck this guy thinking? “Dude you’re the worst.” He shook his head and as Bekka screamed at Vera he put a hand on her arm for security since there was nothing else he could do. He wiped her tears. “Yeah go on I got it covered here.” He told Dallas. “Shhh. the storms passing it’s gonna cool rainbows come next.”
Vera’s eyes widened when she realized Bekka had apparently just gave birth to a little Carter. “I-I didn’t even know you were expecting.” Vera cries falling apart as Dallas got her the help she needed. It wasn’t far none of it and Vera wanted so badly to be able to talk to Carter right now but she couldn’t.
