Feels to much...
...or nothing at all.
Hey there! Thank you for visiting this blog. I will try to be more active on here, however... I can't promise anything.
My blog mostly features cute stuff, alongside my ever-changing hyperfixation (Genshin at the moment) and other things not listed in here.
I appreciate you visiting this place.
Maybe we can be friends?
I’m not dead (yet), but I kinda lost the motivation to browse Tumblr everyday. It lost its magic long ago for me, but I still tried to keep up with it.
It doesn’t matter who you are, if you are a mutual or someone that somehow stumbles upon my account by accident, if you want to know where I am these days, you can find me on twitter under the same name as on Tumblr. Feel free to follow me!
As you can tell, I am mostly playing FFXIV these days. I still love Elsword to death or well, the characters and the story. And I still actively follow updates, but that’s about it.
If you are playing 14 as well, find me on Ragnarok (Chaos datacenter), my name is Velyna Evensong.
Thank you for your attention, you may continue doing whatever you were doing!
what are 5 characters you love and 5 characters you hate? (please explain too ;u;)
Huh, that’s a tough one… I will try to list only one character per game/anime/whatever, to make it more diverse lol. Now, let’s see.
Characters I Love
1. Ain/Bluhen (Elsword Online)
Haha, geez, who would’ve thought??? Me liking Bluhen?? Impossible /sYeah, it definitely shouldn’t come to anyone’s surprise, that I absolutely love this guy. But why, you ask?
I think I had previously mentioned this or, maybe not, who knows, but it all started when I was really, really bored. I had taken a long break from Elsword to recover from something that hurt. I was more or less following Elsword updates on the side, because despite everything, I still cared for the game. I saw Ain and his first path, Executor/Arme, and my only thought was “man, Ain really looks weird”. A few weeks later and they released Ain’s second path. I remembered I still had access to KR and decided to give him a try, just for the heck of it. There was next to no english information available about him, so I didn’t know what the heck I was doing, but I had ridiculously much fun. Since I didn’t know what Eids do, I decided to google for a guide and found out that Ain’s second path is actually able to heal and, well, I guess that sealed the deal ultimately. I’ve been a Healer main in every game that offers me to play said role, so having unknowingly picked the Healer feels a bit like fate, haha
But, generally speaking, I just think he’s ridiculously cute and I absolutely dig his design.
2. Zen (Mystic Messenger)
I’m not a fan of visual novels or, well, dating sims. I find romance cheesy and god, I really don’t like romance. Yet, I…fell for the probably most romantic dude in MysMes. I don’t know what it is, I think at first it was because of his good looks, but then I just fell deeper and deeper.
I like his personality, I really do. He’s so sweet and caring, he makes me laugh and he is incredibly hard-working. Zen is the only guy I really, truly love out of the bunch. While most people love Saeyoung and Saeran, I fell for Hyun and I fell hard. Yeah, he’s vanilla, he has an incredibly normal route, which could be boring to some people, but somehow, that’s what I find so endearing about him…A close second is Jumin, because, if I may confess this, he hits my kinks ///
3. Alphinaud Leveilleur (Final Fantasy XIV)
A lot of people give him flak for his personality, but I think he showed the most growth out of the entire cast of FFXIV. He starts off as a snobby brat and his english voice isn’t helping either. It’s really accentuating his high-and-mighty character in the beginning. But come end of ARR and beginning of Heavensward, his snobby attitude is his downfall. He was trying to reach too high of a goal, had high ambitions and he only meant well, but in the end, that’s what caused everyone around him more than just a couple issues.
It’s at that point he realizes he fucked up and starts to reflect on his behavior. It is also thanks to Haurchefant and Estinien that he grows up to be a trustworthy companion that still has a lot to learn about the world he lives in. He accompanies you through heaven and hell, he’s always by your side and tries his best, but since he’s still young, he’s prone to error. But he’s learning.
Throughout the game, he shows amazing growth and I have no doubt that this will continue in Shadowbringers, the upcoming expansion. I also hope that, since he’s pretty much the only one who has no job crystal, he’s finally going to get one. Some people say it would be funny for Alphinaud to be Dancer, because Alisaie represented Red Mages in Stormblood and RDM was one of two new jobs, but I doubt it, since we already have Thancred representing Gunbreaker, the other new job. I think Alphinaud will end up being a Summoner.
Whatever job he might get, I will support and defend him to the very end.
4. N (Pokémon Black/White)
Black & White was probably the last Pokémon Gen I was really looking forward to. I pre-ordered it and when it came early in the mail, I was overjoyed. I binged the game in two days, didn’t do much else. I was absolutely invested in the story, loved N as a not-so-standard antagonist and his story, plus the story of the entire game as a whole just made me fall in love with Gen 5.
It’s not your usual story where everyone is just trying to be THE VERY BEST, LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS, it’s a story about morals, about whether or not catching Pokémon and holding them “hostage” inside Pokéballs is truly ideal. Every time you encounter him, he has a different set of Pokémon. They fight for him and he sets them free after the fight.
Never will I understand why BW was so hated. The story was absolutely fantastic and the only gripe I really have with the game is that the mons are more on the ugly side. But that has been a thing for a while now (mons keep getting uglier in every new gen). So yeah, N definitely won my heart.
5. Oozora Akari (Aikatsu! 2)
It’s not fair if I only list characters from games I’ve played. It makes me look like I’m not interested in anime… There’s also the issue that I like a lot of characters simply for their design (Merlin from the Fate Series, Lancelot from GBF), so I don’t think it would be fair to list them here. That’s why I decided to go back and think about memorable characters from past anime I watched.
This is an awkward confession, but I really like idol shows. And while I really want to see a male take on the idol genre, there has yet to be one that really strikes me as good. All the male idol anime do is provide you with handsome boys and mostly boring songs. The only anime I somewhat liked was UtaPri.
Okay, blabla aside, we are not here for that, right?I’m a fan of the Aikatsu! series, have been for a very long time. I discovered it via the Precure Livejournal community. Back when it was bursting with activity, people kept mentioning PriPara and Aikatsu! and I was wondering what those shows even are. So then I randomly started watching Aikatsu! and quickly fell in love with it. I don’t know what it was that got me back then, but I binged Aikatsu! hard.
The first season featured Hoshimiya Ichigo as the main focus, but the second season introduced a new character, Oozora Akari. Okay, first off, she is really damn cute. She catches Ichigo’s attention through Akari’s nervousness. Ichigo is scouting for a new idol and Akari absolutely adores her, so when she gets to meet her in person and comes on stage to introduce herself, she’s so nervous, she accidentaly introduces herself as Ichigo.
Akari isn’t the brightest and most talented girl there is. She struggles a lot. Unlike Ichigo, who grows close to Legend status real fast, Akari finds herself in a pinch more than once, has to attend training camps and generally trains hard and a lot. And throughout the season she grows by overcoming obstacles, getting better at being an idol, forming an idol unit with her friends, calling it “Luminas”.
I think there was also a very faintly hinted relationship going on between the designer of her brand and Akari herself. But it was subtle and incredibly sweet, really liked it.
Precisely because of how much she was struggling throughout the series, precisely because she wasn’t gifted with all the talent in the world, I came to love her as much as I do. Because I enjoy watching characters grow, from zero to hero idol, slowly, but surely.
Characters I Hate
This is really hard, there aren’t many characters I really hate. I have to think really hard on this one, but I think I will be able to list 5.
1. Myne (Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari/Shield Hero)
I am an anime-only watcher. I’m not interested enough in this series to read the novel or the manga, so I don’t know if anything changes or what reason she has for being the way she is and I don’t want to know either, until it’s getting explained in the anime.
So, from an anime-only perspective, I really can’t stand Myne. She wraps Naofumi around her finger, just to backstab him and make everyone believe he tried to rape her. Of course, everyone blindly believes her words and even though she clearly acts fake, no one even tries to doubt her words. She then wraps herself around Motoyasu, the Spear Hero and he’s really the perfect target, since he’s extremely gullible and follows her every word, instead of using his own brain.
Her being so manipulative and just…being a bitch in general makes me absolutely hate her.
2. Edward Grenore/Add (Elsword Online)
Once upon a time, I was a really big nerd for Add. I loved him, especially Mastermind. I bonded with a lot of people over him, but all of them broke at one point. These bonds broke so hard that I just don’t want to have anything to do with these people anymore.
You know, when someone loves something so much, you start associating them with said thing. A close friend of mine really likes birds, so whenever I see birds, I think of her. This is what happened with some people when it comes to Add. I started associating them with Add and now that I no longer want to get close to these people, the very thought of Add’s existence pains me.
Aside from that, KoG milking him like no one’s business also rubs me the wrong way. He’s mostly this popular because of his voice actor. Apparently that dude is like what Mamoru Miyano is to Japan…
Another reason would be that aside from Lunatic Psyker, I liked his jobs. Mastermind looked absolutely fabulous and I liked the idea of him being a clean freak and having his machines do the job for him. I always wanted him to be the canon job, because he keeps that cat theme from his base appearance, but alas it was Mr. I-Punch-Everything. I loved the idea of Esper being absolutely insane to the point of wanting to destroy time and space. His crazed laughter, his dumb grin.
But then come 3rd jobs, the two jobs I loved were absolutely destroyed. They decided to cut off Mastermind’s beautiful hair and turned him ugly and Esper turned into a freaking emo child. His backstory isn’t even sad, it’s just him having mommy issues. The only tolerable Add is now the one I didn’t like at all in 2nd job - Doombringer. And I can’t get to like him, because of really petty reasons and…yeah. I just can’t stand Add anymore. :/
3. Kanamori Maria (Kiratto Pri☆Chan Season 2)
What an absolute waste of a nice character design. If you think she’s cute, then yeah, you hit the nail on the head. Because cute is all she knows. Everything is cute, everything. She says ‘kawaii’ at least 50 in every episode and everytime I think to myself “can’t you just shut up for once?”. And what’s worse is that people just go along with her and like her and I just don’t see why. The only one not falling to her ‘kawaii’ tick was Suzu, but even she warmed up to Maria and I’m just - why???
Her design is cute, but that’s really it. Her constant “kawaii, kawaii” gets annoying REAL fast. Shame.
4. Tsushima Yoshiko (Love Live! Sunshine)
As I had previously mentioned, I like idol anime. But Sunshine disappointed me full scale. The songs weren’t as catchy, the characters weren’t as interesting and it just generally didn’t get me as much as the first iteration of LL. Sunshine felt like a bad ripoff to me.
Yohane was probably the worst. Normally, characters with chuunibyou make me laugh and shake my head and reminisce my own past (I had chuunibyou myself to a certain degree), but Yohane is just…cringe. Her repeatedly whining about people calling her Yoshiko went stale fast and her whole fallen angel schtick didn’t really get to me either.
I can’t explain why Yohane pisses me off as much as she does, because Chuunibyou, the anime, was really fun and one of my favorite anime probably. But Yohane just ticks me off.
5. Colette Brunel (Tales of Symphonia)
I thought about this for quite a while and I had serious issues figuring out who to name last. I guess it’s Colette’s turn.
Sacrifical Lamb, Damsel in distress and terribly clumsy. She is a klutz. A mighty klutz. And that’s what I dislike about her. She can’t do anything by herself, constantly whines for Lloyd, never actually speaks up when there is something bothering her, sacrificing her own well-being for the sake of others.
I don’t like her. She’s too goody-two-shoes. I never had her on my team, always used other people whenever I could (Lloyd, Zelos/Kratos, Genis, Raine), but whenever she got her angel powers,I was so annoyed, since the game forced me to have her on my team and she’s just…useless. She constantly dies, does next to no damage and is just…annoying. Groar.
being as i am an idiot, and having been one my whole life, i just wanna say that i find it very easy to do nothing, and go nowhere. i eat chocolate late at night in the dark. i stand in the garden also. and i’m often waiting for something to happen. and i’m stupid.
i think it’s very brave and sexy of me to still play pokemon games in the exact same way i did when i was 5 years old - ignoring all stat changing moves. this is an offensive move only household. if you effectively stratagise using stat changes in battle Fuck You
I feel like I can be tired when I get a normal amount of sleep and even when I get more. I think it might be when I wake up in relation to my sleep cycles. (ᴗ˳ᴗ)
