I step into the library, the sound of my heels echoing in the room. “I knew you would find me soon enough.” A deep voice says. He drags his fingers down my exposed back. “I apologize for not asking you for a dance.” Lucien whispers in my ear. “But I had business to attend to.” I hold my breath, scared to move even an inch.
Lucien ran his hand across my back again as he stepped in front of me, watching me like lion stares at its prey. “You don’t scare me.” I tell him defiantly, tilting my chin upward.
A smirk crosses Lucien’s face as he reaches forward to play with a loose strand of my hair, his calloused fingers brushing against my cheek. “My orchid,” he mumbles, stepping closer so our bodies were barely touching. “I wasn’t trying to scare you.” He grabs my chin, tilting it up further as his lips threaten to brush against mine. “I was trying to seduce you.”
