Sorry, I haven’t memed--or meme’d?--in awhile because offline life. But of course I’ve come back (over)react to any shipping censorship of Leario and Zoario. It’s going to take Tumblr years--or decades?--to go through every post to evaluate its offensiveness because corporate overlords want mass fandom consumers not legions of small fandom niches blah blah blah.

Making a new Hipsterario icon for this Tumblr totes felt like the good ole days of blogging back on LJ (Live Journal to you young’uns born after the Millennia started) when you made icons while procrastinating about finishing your fics.

i’ve been suffering intense nostalgia so I’ve been playing old and ancient early 1990s MS-DOS games online. So why not be lame hit the Oregon Trail from 1992 using “Da Vinci’s Demons” characters? 

In 1848 Leo’s a carpenter (it was either that or blacksmith), so he had $800 to buy stuff for his wagon party. But obviously, of course, Zo bought the stuff if there’s $200 left over. And poor, poor Zo, he dies of “exhaustion” 34 days into the trip! It must be from putting up with Riario. Or, perhaps, it’s something more sinister...

Poor Vanessa, she dies three days after Zo! Did she know something? And Nico’s gone, too, by May’s end, swiftly getting “sick” and dying on the same day, as if it’s the Black Death. 

June’s a horrible month for everyone’s favorite Count with anachronistic sunglasses. He gets snakebites. Snakebites three times! They are all in quick succession, within a span of eleven days. And then he, too, dies.

Poor bereft Leo, he doesn’t fare well. His solo journey drags into July. I didn’t capture a screenshot of his end, but it was from a snakebite somewhere in Wymoing. Unless it was really from heartbreak for his traveling companions.

Being a Total Research Snob: This screenshot from Ancestry proves that history is a lie. A total and absolute lie, a conspiracy of concealment! Leonardo da Vinci was born in Florence, United States, not Florence, Italy, so he was American. But in which American Florence? He was married/partnered Isabelle d’Aragon--but which one: Queen of Aragon and Castile, France or Germany? Duchess of Milan or Coimbra? Or all of them!? And Antonio Canova, too, but was he the Italian sculptor from the 18th Century!? Hmm, maybe Leonardo was immortal like so many fanfics would have you believe...

This is nothing in comparison” Zo: (grumbling) “Corpses don’t carry a sword AND a dagger and they aren’t looking for an excuse to use them on me.” Nico: (wheedling) “Just imagine the look on Leo’s face when he see what we got him.” Zo: “What do you mean, ‘we?’ You are not coming along, Nico.” (V and Nico exchange a glance. “We got him–he’s going to do it!”) A few days later…
