I'm a multifandom blog. I usally talk about whatever fandom I'm hyperfixated on at the moment.

( Yes this is a link to my Pinterest but that's b/c I'm too lazy to write down all of the fandoms I'm interested in...and b/c they keep on changing. )

Also if you don't like the Fandom's, Ships, and Content Creators I'm interested in/like, which is pretty self explanatory but still must be said.
TLDR: PLEASE, for the sake of aroace visibility, STOP misusing the term QPR in fan media to fit your desires to keep shipping your favorite characters. C'mon, seriously, guys, it's still pride month.
I hate how so many people go straight to Queer Platonic Relationships as an alternative for romantic shipping. They're so commonly misinterpreted as romance but like toootally not. Which, every QPR is different, but that misrepresents the entire idea of a QPR.
I have been in multiple fandoms with aroace characters where the fans are obsessed with shipping them regardless. And when they get told that erases asexuality and aromantics in media? They say, "Oh, they're in a QPR! It's not /actually/ romance! Or sex!" Bro. You are watering down the idea of QPRs to fit your own desires: a romantic or sexual relationship between your favorite characters (who happens to be either aroace or their creator has put up boundaries against shipping their characters.)
But, I get it. Fandoms are built off of ships and romance. It's what allo (not aroace) people are drawn to. It's familiar and makes interesting story! But by misrepresenting aroace terminology to mean "friends with benefits" or some crap like that, it erases so much visibility for aroace people. What is the point of calling it a QPR if you are pretending it's the less controversial way to ship your characters together?
THIS RANT IS NOT SAYING TO NEVER PUT YOUR CHARACTERS IN A QUEER PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP! When they're done correctly, they can be so incredibly important for aroace representation, and even better, an incredibly interesting part of any plot of a story! QPRs can be so important in aro/ace lives. They can mean so many different things for so many different people, yet that type of relationship is just so underexplored in media.
I absolutely LOVE when fans are able to make characters care so much about each other without any of them feeling the need to have either romance or sex! Hell, you can make them have sexual feelings for each other without romantic feeling or visa versa /as long as/ you make it clear that they are without the other feeling. QPRs look different for everyone, and correctly raising awareness of them would mean so much for not just the aroace community, but for everyone.
Okay so I've kept careful track and this is what I've gathered
Orange is a girl, uses she/her, and presents androgynously
Yellow is a cowboy (gender-wise and also literally), uses he/him, presents mostly androgynously, and is also gay
Green is a chef (gender-wise and also literally), uses they/them, and presents androgynously
Aqua is Assigned Girl By Seth, Assigned Aqua By Seth, uses she/her, and presents femininely
Blue is a man, uses he/him, presents femininely, and is gay
Seth is questioning their gender, uses they/them (thank you @/capnportofficial!!), and presents androgynously
In conclusion, the seven human flowers are so Gender
(Also this propagates my theory that all utdr humans are born agender (only two human or human-esque characters so far actually associate with a specific gender (Blue and Orange (not counting Aqua because she was Assigned Girl By Seth))))
ok so turns out changing the colour palette and composition was the key to actually making me wanna finish this piece YIPEEEEE
Artist's Notes;
IDK why but I tend to really struggle with using bright fuchsias and hot pinks in art. Maybe it's just because I tend to gravitate towards certain colour pallets or I just don't like using super bright cold colours. I had this issue with the last piece of Deltarune fanart I made where I just didn't like how the pink of Kris' cape stood out, and my one gripe about that piece is how monochrome it looks. I think improving on my colour range (like, the kinds of colours I use, IDK I just made the term up) is gonna be my next thing to work on because I do wanna try branching out to colours and pallets I normally don't use.
I was also listening to Penumbra Phantasm a lot while working on this piece, and while a lot of people thought it would be the final boss theme, idk I always saw it as being Kris' theme weirdly enough. Maybe because the original version of it is played on the piano or I just really like Kris and think they deserve a cool-ass theme lol. I do think they'd take after their father and include the game over leitmotif in "Faint Courage" because I think it really fits them. I was even humming it at certain points while listening to Penumbra Phantasm and it actually works really well in the key of the piece. If I were to ever compose a musical piece for like, a battle theme for Kris, I'd probably throw in a leitmotif or two from Heartache to represent their connection to Toriel, using Penumbra Phantasm as a base, and then using the Faint Courage leitmotif as well. The main instrument would probably be a piano because I think their love for playing the piano should be reflected in any potential boss theme they get.
You'll also notice some changes in how I designed Kris' armor. Like many aspects of my art style, the way I interpreted Kris' in-game armor was inspired by Yoshitaka Amano's work on the Final Fantasy series. My headcannon is that Dragon Blazers is the Deltarune equivalent to Final Fantasy, and the aura that Amano's works give off just feels like the kind of aura Kris wants to exude. Like, they'd fucking love the fact that their armor looks like it came straight off of some Dragon Blazer's box art, so they have every right to aura farm.
I like how the blockyness of their cape ended up contrasting with how intricate their armor turned out, and I also loved rendering their hair. One thing that I've started doing when doing the lighting is having it almost reflect off of the armor to emphasize how shiny it is.
So the process of figuring out Kris' armor started in my sketchbook. I found a bunch of references of how Amano designs armor and tried to sort of capture the vibe they gave off while drawing Kris' armor (also Noelle as a bonus, I'll be honest I'm still trying to figure out how to draw her in my style as well). I also wanted to give them some silver hoop earrings because that just feels like something Kris would wear all the time.
In some of my initial drafts for Kris' armor I gave them long sleeves but found that the short sleeved look just worked better for Kris (also is more accurate to their in-game sprite) and also fit the vibe I was going for (I'll put some of those initial sketches in here too). The one I did in colour was like, one of the first drawings of Kris' dark world form I did. You can also tell these are old because of how wack the anatomy is (also bonus Ralsei, Frisk, and Friend). In these older sketches I gave their cape this collar that I stylized by making it a triangle, and even tried giving Kris some chainmail but I was never 100% happy with them. You can also see where I started trying to take some inspo from Early final fantasy designs with Kris' armor. I'm also really really bad with markers so please pardon the shitty colouring. Weirdly enough I have an easier time with Kris' in-game palette traditionally than digitally idk. Originally I was going to give them a heart-shaped chest plate but I'll be honest I couldn't make it work digitally. Also, I do not CARE if the long ass cape is impractical, it's fucking cool as shit and it lets me have fun with Kris' silhouette when drawing them so SHHHHH-
so to summarise: she DID overdo it in a very much uncharacteristic one-time-only way, she's not an alcoholic, kris was never locked out of the house (they pretended to be as part of their plan to get susie to the church dark world), toriel DID try to call, she WAS worried, sans told her he saw kris and susie hanging out and not to worry and let them spend time by themselves since they're teenagers and THAT'S when she let herself get loose, she DID realise she made susie uncomfortable and feels bad about it and hopes she didn't push her away and that she'll be back because she likes having her around, she DID notice kris was upset, her air of middle class respectability is a façade and she's probably struggling with her finances just as much as asgore, she's just more careful with her money. also sans stocked up her fridge and took out the trash before he left (my man🤝)
TLDR: never fucking doubt me again. big analysis papy untouchable
