I thought you might find this amusing: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Is the title of a real video game that got announced.

so I didn't watch the direct but I watched the nintendo treehouse rhythm heaven stream and noticed that they didn't call it "the rhythm heaven groove game" at any point. has nintendo of america stopped doing that? did we not get "the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game" in this direct?

you have to forgive the printer because it's one of the most machine-ass machines we interact with on a day to day basis. that thing says kerchunk. hardly anything says kerchunk these days. you can't get mad at her when she kerchunks up a little.

The printer is one of the tech things that has actual reasons to not work (no ink, no paper, paper stuck, wrong flapse closed, software not compatible, driver update needed, wrong file format) and it often has the decency of telling you vaguely which one it might be.

That is far more than any modern tech is even able to, a website or app will just say "Ooooopsie dooopsie 🤪" these days and those bitches don't even have moving parts to get stuck.

So yeah, the bar is extremely low.

We are two or three updates from a crashed app displaying "Everything is fine, it's you who is the issue really".

"driver update needed" is an entirely illegitmiate problem on all levels, aside from that, yes, 100%, so much tech is just about other tech, the rare stuff that interacts with the physical world is a little different.
