Just because you’re a fan of an idol & buy their music and support them it doesn’t mean in any way that you have any right to invade their lives. You have no right to follow them, you have no right to invade their personal space, you have no right show up to unofficial schedules, you have no right to invade their free times. You have no right to appear in or at their hotels to see them, cat call them or invade their personal space.

Ncts hotel is supposed to be their safe place, where they can rest and not be disturbed or have to be “an idol”. Its where they can relax.

No one has any right to threaten that, you’re making them uncomfortable, you’re harassing them, you’re ruining future opportunities for other fans by showing SM that their artists aren’t safe. You’re risking future opportunities for fans & nct. Don’t claim to love the boys if you act like this, if you loved them you’d be upset with their treatment right now.

This post honestly does things to me emotionally. I hate supporting an industry that treats those in it like animals, but at the same time, these idols need to see that they have people who care about them, need to see that their managers are not entitled to disrespect them, need to see that tough love does not mean to criticize mercilessly. They need proof that all the pain they went through was worth it, so the least we can do as fans is tell them we love them, don’t fight other people in their names, and respect their privacy and work.

When I was training to be a battered women’s advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:

Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isn’t that great today, but I have days where my best isn’t that great either.
