Jared Kushner’s efforts to negotiate an end to the Iran War are not going well. But he is only moonlighting as one of the Trump administration’s top diplomats. Kushner is also having problems at his day job as the founder of Affinity Partners, a private equity fund bankrolled by Saudi Arabia and other foreign governments.
Along with his wife Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Trump, Kushner is developing a multibillion-dollar resort on Sazan Island in Albania and nearby coastline. In an interview with the David Senra podcast published Sunday, Ivanka Trump described the project dreamily:
It’s an unbelievable, beautiful, 1,400-hectare private island in the middle of the Mediterranean. We were on a friend’s boat and we stopped for a swim. Effectively, that’s how we found it. We swam to the island, we went on a hike, barefoot all the way up to the top, and we were just captivated, and it stayed with us ever since. And over the course of many years, we developed the opportunity to help realize its potential and transform it, but with a lot of restraint and care because the land is so beautiful that, really, the architecture has to be fully integrated into it, almost rise from it.
She also said the project is “the culmination of all of my experience in real estate, all of my travel, a lot of reflection on how I want to live, how I think people increasingly want to live.”
But the reality of the massive project, which includes 10,000 hotel rooms and is located in one of Europe’s most environmentally sensitive areas, is a lot messier. In 2024, the Albanian government changed the law to allow the area, which was previously part of a protected national park, to be developed. After Trump’s election in November 2024, the Albanian government granted Atlantic Incubation Partners, an LLC linked to Kushner, “strategic investor“ status, clearing the way for permits.
Kushner’s LLC was granted that status “just weeks before the new US president’s inauguration, even without a business plan or feasibility study for the construction of a luxury resort on an uninhabited island once used by the army for shooting practice.”
On Monday, Albania’s Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime, known as SPAK, confirmed it was investigating Kushner’s project. The investigation will probe the changes to the land’s protected status and how Kushner-controlled entities obtained rights.
An investigative report by the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network found that the project involved a “network of shady individuals and companies“ including “a businessman accused of links to the Italian mafia, a former judge who resigned due to the vetting process, the daughter of a lawyer accused of forgery, the company of a murdered businessman and individuals linked to one of Albania’s biggest oligarchs, Shefqet Kastrati.”
Is this “neurodivergent” masking? or “autism” masking?
Neurodivergent is a sociopolitical term that encompasses a whole lot of things. The things listed in this graphic is not things that every neurodivergent does.
It gives a false impression of what being neurodivergent is.
Neurodivergent isn’t another word for autism. If we mean autism, let’s use the word autism.
Neurodivergent masking and autism masking have some similarities, but also have glaring differences between one another.
Neurodivergent in that there is an umbrella of many mental based disorders, such as mental illnesses, neurodevelopmental and developmental disabilities, etc, means that masking is different than it is for someone with autism.
However, most people can mask by hiding their struggles, either by self isolating which is something that i do, or by hiding their stimming that news flash other people with other disabilities and not just autism do. These are just two examples, but i hope that this makes sense.
But that does not mean that the two are the same. And that "neurodivergent" masking exists, since neurodivergent is not a medical term at all it is a sociopolitical term as you and many other people have said before i.
John Dee's crystal, used for clairvoyance and for curing disease
John Dee (1527-1609) was an English mathematician and astrologer interested in divination using crystals and mirrors. This crystal was used for curing disease and predicting the future by looking for symbols or the ‘ghosts’ of people in the stone. Dee claimed that this crystal was given to him by the angel Uriel in November 1582, and that Uriel had instructed Dee and his assistant Edward Kelley (1555-1597/8) on how to make the Philosopher’s Stone – one of the goals of alchemy.
The crystal was entrusted to Dee’s son, Arthur (1597-1651) who passed it on to Nicholas Culpeper (1616-1654) as a reward for curing his liver complaints

Donald Trump's administration has ordered the removal of three "woke" quotes at a 200-year-old monument in Boston.
The National Park Service ordered quotes pertaining to slavery, foreign-born citizens and anti-war activism to be scrubbed from the Bunker Hill Monument because they fell foul of the US president's push to remove "corrosive ideology" from federal institutions.
The site of the 221-ft-tall granite obelisk in Charleston, which commemorates a Revolutionary War battle between revolutionary forces and the British Army, includes hanging signs with quotes from historic figures and writings that reflect on the monument. Some quotes date back centuries.
A review of the monument, which is attached to a museum, was prompted after a visitor complained to staff at the site and later via email about a quote related to women's suffrage as being "woke" feminist ideology, sources told The Washington Post.
The agency ordered the removal of an anti-war quote from Arthur Johnson and Bestor Cram, Vietnam veterans, in time for the 251st anniversary of the monument on June 17.
The quote reads: "We find, upon reflection, that our duty to our country has not ended ... We, as Vietnam veterans, strongly feel that the United States should cease to build memorials to death and begin to glorify life."
