earlier this week Twitter user ppuccin0 tweeted about a fashion article that advised against tops with large floral patterns, saying the wearer was in danger of looking like a "ロマンティックおばさん," or a "romantic auntie." the tweet went viral with many agreeing that a "romantic auntie" sounded like a very nice thing to aspire to be, and some even posted illustrations or photos tagged with the trend

You know that weird phase where you are not asleep yet but your mind starts doing whatever and you can't really control it? Yeah.
I'M????????????
The scariest part of the 52 years of stalking isn’t even the stalking. It’s that Armand knows every bad thing Daniel has ever done and he doesn’t care.
Daniel knows he’s an asshole. He’s potentially the most self-aware character. He knows he hurt his ex-wives and his daughters. He understands that they hate him and he frequently validates their decision to do so. He gets it. He’s not hiding from his mistakes. He knows what he’s done. People leave him because anyone sane would. There’s no malice there. He knows who he is.
But here is this beautiful, ancient creature who has lived through some of the most incredible periods of human innovation in modern history, who lived in Renaissance Venice and witnessed Paris return to its former glory after World War 2 , who has been exposed to some of the most important works of art in history, who has had so much time to absorb humanity and all its most impressive creations, and this creature tells him he’s in love with him, some random kid he met half a century ago by chance.
And not just that he’s in love with him. That he was actively in love with him while he was doing all the terrible things. None of it ever mattered. Armand has seen every shade of Daniel’s soul, more than anyone else ever has, and he is in love with him because of it. It is one thing to have your mistakes exposed, it’s another entirely for someone to see them and decide to stay.
Armand has so freely given to Daniel what he has been trying to find for himself for half a millennia. The only thing he has ever wanted: to be truly known and accepted for everything you are, including the unseemly, ugly parts. How utterly and completely terrifying.
I think this is the most dangerous and beautiful aspect of their relationship. As an addict, so much of your life is wrestling with the disease and the way it impacts those around you. Imagine all of the shame and guilt left in the wake of the things you did a rock bottom. Armand is someone born centuries ago who exists completely outside of the spectrum of contemporary human morality. Imagine someone being a spectre to the worst things you’ve ever done and still loving you. It’s salvation but it can also be damnation. Because humans have limits, no matter how much they love you. So what happens when the devil loves you for all the damned things you’ve done?
When a human says “I love you unconditionally,” there’s this sense of wistfulness because…no, there are always conditions. You just haven’t found those limits yet. Pray that you never do.
When a vampire says “I love you unconditionally,” fuck. They’ve seen and done it all. Whatever you’ve done, it can’t possibly be worse. The worst in you is a feature, not a bug. It’s just true.
And he turned him... He saw everything, the good, the bad, the horrible, the very ugly and he said: you should have eternity, I think you should live forever
interesting kink assortment on the dash
think again motherfucker
if you spoke to lestat or louis about your pain, they would say, "your pain? what about MY pain?" but if you spoke about your pain to armand he would say "let me lobotomize you and you will never feel pain again." he has a solution-based mindset and we could all learn from him.
A lot of people are so willing to disbelieve transmisogyny that they'll frame it as a privilege
No, trans women aren't "immune to criticism for unethical sexual behaviour". They are actually overly criticised for sexual proclivities which is a bias you need to account for.
No, trans women aren't "massively overrepresented in media compared to other trans people". They are actually almost entirely unseen because the caricatures and stereotypes used to demonise them are not in fact representation.

This response is so crazy because of how blatantly, openly hateful to trans women it is. the replier went on to immediately vaguepost about how trans women shouldn’t whine about the ways in which we’re oppressed. The post is framed as if it’s in response to Capnsoapy has said that trans women are the most oppressed trans people, but OP never said anything like that (even though she would be well within her rights to do that) — all she did was point out specific ways that trans women are targeted by transmisogyny and how that affects us.
This replier has revealed the smoking gun of anti-transfeminism discourse: even when transfems are speaking exclusively about our own experiences, with no comparison to anybody else’s, just mentioning the ways in which we are oppressed & marginalised is enough to be treated as an insidious transphobic force separating the community
All OP did was point out that trans women are scrutinised higher than TME people when it comes to sexual impropriety and that we are caricatured more often than represented in fiction. That’s it. Those two statements should be uncontroversial to anybody even slightly aware of the concept of transmisogyny.
So then why are trans women even mentioning our own oppression nigh-universally treated as nasty self-centred separatists? Why is it acceptable for people to literally misgender us whilst dismissing our oppression in the same breath as outright saying that discussing the ways in which trans women are oppressed is pointless & doesn’t help anybody? How do you all not see that as blatant, open hatred of trans women — you know, real trans women, who actually live in the real world, not the imaginary ones who never complain that TME people hypothetically support in their head?
To the average TME person, trans women are supposed to be pliable, agreeable, quiet if we are expected to be supported or helped in attaining our rights. Simply pointing out that we are treated with discrimination is enough to lose respect from a self proclaimed ally. We’re the fucking women of women.
Oh here it is. Stop typing essays online and go vote.
You’re like a strawman parody of a transmisogynist, it’s genuinely baffling.
the statement: "a legal theory was proposed in which trans women could be targeted without violating the Constitution because other women and other trans people are excluded from our specific oppression, which suggests that transmisogyny is real and that transmisogyny affected and exempted are meaningful categories for analysis of our material conditions."
the response: "you are sowing divisions in our community by saying this. everyone has to get on board to fix things, which will only happen if you stop bringing this up. you are crazy, paranoid, and confused and the more you talk about your problems, the more we'll blame you for the violence that's done to you."
the smug condescension of a man who, upset that his privilege has been identified, asserts his male privilege knowing that a fair number of people will hop on board the "trans women are paranoid and divisive" train rather than interrogating their own biases and coming to the defense of more vulnerable members of their community.
the cherry on top was the tags, where he addressed the transfem he reblogged by name and said "I'm disappointed in you" as if she had done something wrong by sharing a post about her specific oppression. it's genuinely gross how trans women are treated so poorly so casually. how dare we speak?
Video of me trying to write the number 3 in professor layton game for 1 minute
this fucking video has two punchlines it's incredible
This tweet read me to filth
this is sad and bad and terrible and bigoted but also this tragedy in two acts did make me laugh out loud what can i say
once again i have to remind my fellow non-transmisogynized trans people that if you call me "female", "an afab", "female perceived", "female socialized" or anything remotely similar in person i WILL be punching you in the nose
i've yet to see a space exclusively for non-transmisogynized trans people that hasn't had a (trans)misogyny runaway effect, even the ones that start out well-intentioned, which that blog clearly didn't lol and honestly! why do we care so much about a space without the girls¿? obviously transfeminized people have a clear reason to want non-mixed spaces to vent and feel safer but us????? idk i think it's time we give it up actually
passing in public makes me feel like white shrek
literally how it feels
no afab baby you don't have a "transfem headmate" words mean things
counterpoint this does happen with fictives quite frequently
counterpoint: still not what transfem means
yeah lets not do pluralphobia in our transfeminism
i'm plural, dumbass, i just know what words mean! being "bodily transfem" is the only way to be transfem because we all exist in a body! if a member of a system is a girl and the body they all share was afab then she's cis! because that's what the words mean. i don't care about vibes i care about material realities and there isn't one in which a headmate in an afab body has the lived experience of being transfem, and vice versa.
if she's not speaking "as a transfem", and she's not "bodily transfem", then what the fuck are we even doing here. "trans woman" isn't a different gender from "cis woman", they're both just women. you are very clearly misunderstanding that and that's transmisogyny my friend. there is no gotcha you can catch me in here, you're just wrong. it's okay to be wrong it's just an opportunity to learn. or you can dig your heels in and keep doing transmisogyny, your choice.
you know being an asshole to someone is not a great way to get them to listen to you.
lol. lmao even. tone police her after not listening the first two times, that tracks
shit like this is why i hesitate to fully commit to transfeminism. some of yall are so assholish about such petty things that do not matter. were literally being systematically killed by a surveillance state but no lets go after headmates who have a different experience with something as complicated and nuanced as plurality.
i generally agree with the movement but jesus christ learn when to just leave it be.
there it is! "a feminist was too much of a bitch to me so that's why i'm bot a feminist" give a big round of applause folks we got there
i literally just said i agree with the movement but dislike the community but reading is hard ig :/
what you said was "i hesitate to fully commit to feminism because some feminists are assholes" but reading your own words is hard ig :/
i hesitate to fully commit to the transfeminism community because ive seen extremely widespread opinions on both plural people and mixed people that are fucking apalling.
i just don't know how else to explain to you that someone who is a girl in a body that was afab is cis, definitionally. whether she's a headmate or not, it doesn't matter. "transgender woman" isn't a gender, it's a relationship to womanhood that is based in a lived experience, one that someone afab does not have. do you argue about letting white people talk about being "racialized" because they're plural too? do you hesitate to commit to antiracism because some people are just too mean about white people's headmates? i can't stress enough again that i am a plural transfem. but the headmates i have who are men are, shock horror, not trans men. because our body was not afab, and regardless if whether you're a fictive or a factive or an introject or what, you only have the lived experience of the body you live in. that's how being alive works. this doesn't have to be so hard.
Someone assigned female at birth cannot have a "transfem headmate" anymore than a white person can have a"black headmate"
Just finished hamlet & had to share THIS
btw this is literally what goes down. it’s great.
You just know the ye olde peasants went NUTS at that last part
We don’t say sblood enough we should bring it back
