The ShadeVerse Chronicles - Vol. I; The Elder Gods
Long ago, before the multiverse existed, there was a handful of individuals who inhabited the world.
The first were Fate, a white flame with black flames looking like eyes. The other was Destiny, a black flame with white flames looking like eyes.
These two deities where created when the small planet crashed into the molten earth.
The energy from the collision created the two gods.
They observed the world develop, Fate who opted to just observe and not interfere, and Destiny who wanted to explore the world they were made on.
Time passed and there was new beings that came to existence to join as elder gods.
There was Chaos, a being of lava and rock, created in the wave of the volcanic eruptions that created the landmasses.
There was Order, a being of water and storms, created when the first rains came and cooled the molten earth.
After the earth made its first trip around the sun, Time was born, a being of obsidian and sand.
More time passed and Nim and Arachnis came to existence.
Nim, a skeletal tree woman created the first organic life of the single celled organisms. Arachnis, with his lower half that of a spider and upper half of a skeleton, spun the great tapestry of magic.
Nim tended to the organic life and watched as they evolved, and Arachnis weaved magical life, and with his strings of magic he could see all around the world.
The elder gods watched over their growing world with wonder and awe at the ways the living beings changed overtime.
Eons passed and civilizations rose and fell. Many worshipped Nim and Arachnis, for they were beings that allowed themselves to be perceived by mortal eyes.
Nim became a goddess of emotions, nature, childbirth, and motherhood.
Arachnis became a god of magic, knowledge, music, development, and insects.
In the world of rich and abundant magic, a new force started to grow in the shadows of the elder gods.
Creatures of darkness and despair that fed on the emotions of a host, and in turn forcefully and painfully turning their host into one of them.
The Shade was feeding off of the tension between the races of the world, humans, monsters, and dragons.
The dragons were organic beings with powerful magic, which frightened the humans and monsters. This fear caused a lot of fighting and tension.
The rising tensions allowed the shade to grow stronger and take more and more people, until they caught the attention of the elder gods.
Inorder to protect the world, the elder gods used their combined magic to seal the shade in a different realm. They also saw the conflict between the races, they separated the humans and monsters from the dragons to stop their fighting.
This splitting of worlds caused a cascade of new worlds, timelines splitting, alternate worlds and dimensions, thus creating the multiverse.
When I was writing this AU I wanted to take the concept of F!GOD Error and Ink and add my own interpretation in there, and many of those stories have Fate and Destiny, and usually makes Fate evil, but I decided to make both of them neutral
