shirt that says I HATE WHEN CHARACTERS WITH UNUSUAL BEHAVIOURS AND MANNERISMS DUE TO NEUROLOGICAL DIFFERENCES GET "CURED" AND BECOME "NORMAL" on the front and "bye" on the back
the ONLY time I'm fine with this is when the character is STILL unusual after whatever event changed them, just in a different way. bonus points if they're upset about the change. EVEN THEN YOU (pointing my fingers around at no one) ARE ON THHHIIINNNNN ICE
"but why do you hate this? isn't it a good end to a character's arc?" my actual physical neurological structure deviates from the norm in ways that CANNOT be "fixed" and I like it when characters are like me and can still have fulfilling story arcs and loving friends [:
this includes characters who say things that don't make sense, have memory issues, behave irrationally, and more. I'm talking about characters who represent a wide range of neurological differences. not just autism or adhd!
The 'I have always been yours' scene is of course great, but I like this one as well.

ive watched this like 20 times and it just gets funnier
rewatching heart of glory (tng: 1x20) and i know we all love to talk about seeing data through geordivision, but i rarely see people talk about why we get that shot:
[TRANSPORTER ROOM]
GEORDI: Data and I have been working on a way to transmit what my visor sees. If it works, the Bridge'll be able to monitor us. DATA: It has restrictions. The information from Geordi's visor is so complex it is difficult to encode. Therefore, the signal breaks down easily. RIKER: That means it doesn't have much range. GEORDI: Exactly. So far, the effective range is only few kilometres, but we're working on it.
before they extensively tinkered with data's functions as an android, these two were doing the same with geordi's visor—and it's implied they continued, even if they didn't show it much in the later seasons. they probably have a better understanding of each other's abilities and limitations re: their unique experiences than anyone else in tng, closely tied with beverly (at least in geordi's case).
i love all the experimenting we see them do around data, but i wish they dug into the visor more alongside that... they could've really showed that the curiosity and care between data and geordi is totally reciprocal
How Mirror Mirror really ended
