Fat Horse No. 20
Itās the year of the horse and Iāve always been a horse girl at heart, so Iām finally taking advantage of the excuse to fill the world with fat little horses! These felted friends are about the size (and shape!) of an apple, and if you happen to have any apples to share Iām sure theyād help you out! You know I had to make a pigeon once I decided to do a pegasus. The chest features Angelina sparkle fiber for that flash of iridescence!
This piece is SOLD but Iām already hard at work on a herd of new ones for Furrydelphia, August 7-9th!
man sometimes friendship really is just "I saw this and knew it would give you psychic damage. please respond with agony" and then they do. and it's great

ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??
don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM
so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!
this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy
EVERYONE START GETTING MORE USE OUT OF YOUR SPACE NOW!!!!

theres ALWAYS a relevant XKCD for everything huh
reminds me of how artists flip the canvas to make sure their art looks good
Just flip the genders real quick and check if you accidentally made a cult
Havenāt had a chance to watch the tutorial yet, but Iām seriously considering making this for my gfās niece
"The America I loved still exists, if not in the White House or the Supreme Court or the Senate or the House of Representatives or the media. The America I love still exists at the front desks of our public libraries."
-Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country
i must say, i am a huge fan of when a book is in the middle of a very exciting plot containing many interesting problems when out of nowhere for a few pages it's like, "hey by the way, real quick, here's a detailed explanation of the city's water filtration system! i'm telling you this for a reason and you should worry about it. anyway! haha okay back to the plot" and you just get to be Scared for a while
i am kissing you on the mouth right now
you are the only person who understands me. you and the person who tagged a series of unfortunate events
how do you feel about the phm headcanon that adrian is much bigger than rocky and also theyre bad as hell. Bad bitch rocky pulled by being autistic
YES i love it when adrian is way bigger than rocky uh here's my take on rocky and adrian
(links // tip jar!)
saw a comment that misspelled ākind gestureā as ākind jesterā and am now imagining a beautiful world where we praise good samaritans by calling them kind jesters. good on you, you gentle fool. youāve made the world a sweeter and sillier place.
for the people in the notes asking if this would work in erid gravity - being able to float on water has nothing to do with the relative strength of gravity! (both buoyancy force and the weight of an object have a gravity multiplier in their formula, in opposite directions, they cancel out regardless)
floating on water has to do with the density of an object vs how much water they displace with their size. think about how a huge boat that weighs a million times more than a tiny rock floats, but the rock doesn't. a material like polystyrene which is less dense than water will float regardless of what shape it's in, but objects that are more dense than water normally (human. ship hull.) can change how much water they displace, by changing their shape. we float on water when we spread our limbs out like that because we're maximising the amount of water displacement we're capable of, and that's cancelling out the downward force of our density! (floaties work by borrowing the density of a less dense material)
so grace could absolutely use human floating techniques on erid water (once they get it to a tolerable temperature)
rocky however is a) rock shaped (not good at maximising displacement), and b) internally made mostly of heavy metals (and the stuff that isn't heavy metals is also the stuff that's in human bodies). he will, to pardon the pun, sink like a stone
ice water is awesome because you get more water in your water
