a concept: heavy rainfall when you’re tucked up in bed. like if u agree.
The sea is a temple. The woods are a temple. Your own bedroom is a temple. The world is imbued with the spiritual. Worship is an act, not a place, and it can happen spontaneously, in reaction to the beauty of a moment.
Sekhmet, The Lady of Slaughter
may the forgotten ones watch over you
may you feel them as the wind rustles the leaves
may they be heard in the trickle of water from the roof after the rain
may you find them in the dirt as you plant your garden
may they comfort you with the warmth from your camp fire

i love making characters who are sick and tormented
I came across this hibiscus mead the other day and thought it would be a perfect offering to Freyja. I figured Friday would be a good day to offer it up, considering that's her (and Frigg's) day. I haven't tried it yet, as I want her to taste of it first. I do hope it's good! I've never tried mead (it's quite hard to find around me), but I do like hibiscus. I'm looking forward to sharing it with her and Frigg.
On another note, what offerings do you make the gods/goddesses? I don't have any altar anymore as I lost the table I had set out for it in a move. Currently I have a big two-wick candle, a small jar of catnip and a small jar of dried rose petals on my dresser by my bedside. It's always a comfort when I light the candle at night.
i like to give them candy, actually. most of them seem to like it :)
tea or coffee also works. sometimes i offer a rock or something that i found outside and that made me think of them.
but the most frequent thing i offer the gods are my actions. when im living life and i get into a situation where i could do something nice for someone in honor of a specific deity, I'll quietly tell the deity i'm doing it to honor them (im not saying it out loud, i'm just thinking it)
Water is often a good, simple offering. Sometimes I set aside a few bites of my food and offer it to someone, and then I eat it last. For Freyja, I have some jewelry and amber I’ve given to her. Music is a great offering. You can sing, or I like to dedicate playlists and moodboards to the deities. I think that creative works make excellent offerings, whatever that is for you. Sometimes a card deck I will associate with a deity.

if the vikings had had air conditioning in their time, i'm sure we would have an air conditioning goddess today.
how about we promote Skaði-

I made an incense holder and fox for Loki's alter and now one of my lighters doesn't work and I can't find the other one
