another reddit post â
kinda motivating as well, iâve been detached from shifting for some reason, like i canât find anything to do, i have free time but i also donât have it đ please friends help me lol
Youâve shifted already. Theres NOTHING to do because youve already shifted. You are in your DR right NOW. Theres no process because you have ALREADY shifted. Its already DONE, you shifted! Its that simple, you shifted! You are in your dr!
Me and the other shifters that used to just be maladaptive daydreamers after finding out about shifting
How to Shift: Simplified
This is what I did the time when I was closer to shifting (I'm currently in a break, since like a week after that attempt), and it's also how many people shift.
It's actually pretty simple. I'm going to explain it in steps to make it even easier to understand, although it's not supposed to be a step by step method.
LAY DOWN AND RELAX: Breath deeply, meditate, count your heartbeats... do whatever it works for you. take a few minutes, till your mind is as calm as possible.
IMAGINE: Start imagining the exact place where you'll wake up. It's not necessary to visualise, I personally don't do it. I just imagine everything in first person as I were there. If you feel like it, try adding more and more details, like the breathing of your roomies, the texture of your clothes, etc. However, this is optional.
THINK AS YOUR DR SELF: What are you doing tomorrow? What's that thing you can't forget to do? Do you have to finish your homework? Think in first person, as you were you other self. Daily basic things. Think what s normal person would think before going to sleep.
ENJOY BEING THERE IN IMAGINATION: Once you've imagined it, you're there. So, go on, enjoy it.
That's basically all. It's not a method. You don't have to do it in order. You don't have to remember the steps. Do it naturally, enjoy the process. Do what you feel like to do.
I'm going to tell you the KEY to this.
FORGET YOU'RE TRYING TO SHIFT. Focus on the 4d (imagination) to the point you don't remember you're not there, but attempting to shift there.
And remember, it's not a step by step method (it's like the fourth time i say it i know), but more of a "do what you feel" method. So do it in the order you like the most. If you rather first start thinking as your DR self, do it. If you rather mix imaginacion and thoughts, you're free to do it. The important thing, is that you feel there, and forget you are (not) there, but you are attempting to shift to that place.
Hope this was clear enough:)
Happy shifting
had a dream i was the owner of Jurassic Park (i've had several dreams like this and it's Awesome) but this time we had exhibits for extinct mammals. we had a couple species of old world monkeys and gorillas. it was safari-style cause the monkeys were chill, but it was in a crazy world, where there were a bunch of different biomes i've never seen before!
the area i was conducting the tour was jungle and swamp, but it was right next to a couple miles of white sand. in the distance you could see giant hills/mountains, some of them were green, others were pure rock, some were clay, and some were forest. it was amazing, if i wasn't focused on getting guests back to the entrance cause of a sudden storm, i would have explored more.
10/10 would dream again
WANT TO ENTER THE VOID INSTANTLY TONIGHT?!!? USE THE DISTRACTION TECHNIQUE!!!
First of all, know that the void is very real!!! I entered it a few hours ago for the first time intentionally!đ
Second of all, you donât need a good âvoid conceptâ for this. This is too powerful of a method to need to have an assumption that the void is easy to enter. Itâs just like falling asleep when youâre really tired, how youâre entering the void when really relaxed. Itâs impossible to fail.
Step 1: Get into a comfortable position.
Step 2: Get into the alpha state using a guided meditation or without. I like to do it without by counting down from 12 to 1 whilst visualising there numbers as you count them in your head. Then count down from 13 to 1 without visualising. This will get you into the alpha state. (You donât have to be fully in the alpha state but it helps, just be really relaxed).
Step 3: I know people tell you to affirm for the void at this point BUT YOU NEED TO BE DISTRACTED!!! Visualise a scene in your head and let it distract you. You can even play your favourite song in the background (in your head, donât actually put music on). You can do those separately or simultaneously. This will get you really distracted and not focusing on the 3D anymore. Then you will end up in the void! BOOM! There you go. Itâs literally guaranteed results, itâs too effective to not work. Anyways have fun living your dream life!! Bye!!!!
some DR memes for motivation!
You know when someone tells you not to do something, and you immediately have the urge to do whatever it is you're being told not to? Let's try that as a shifting method: Whatever you do, don't shift. I am ordering you to stay in this reality. Don't do it!
I normally donât like Shiftok but this is something on there that I actually really liked
âYou canât get stuck in your DR so why do you think you can get stuck in your ORâ
Saw it on Reddit and I wanted to say it here:
We have to retire the use of the word âcloneâ when describing your CR self when you shift.
Not only does it cause unnecessary fear in newer shifters about what a âcloneâ could do (spoiler: nothing), is innacurate in trying to seperate your CR self from all other selves, and completely misses the point that you ARE all of your realities.
The reddit comment I saw instead proposed the word âVariantâ
A variant is just the self that you arenât aware of, wether itâs your OR self while youâve shifted, or your DR self while in your OR.
Itâs you.
did you dream about your dr OR did you shift while your dr self was sleeping and dreaming about their own life? food for thought
RANDOM TIP THATS PROBABLY USELESS AND UNADVISABLE BUT I DO IT ANYWAY:
if ur shifting to ur dr bed id suggest shifting on a very comfortable floor
like this is gonna sound so weird but sometimes it helps you to know how close you got to shifting with like surrounding changes
cuz like sometimes its just like âoh this feels a lot more floory than it did whole i was trying to shiftâ yk
funny things you can add to your script

cats love you. strays always let you pet them and your friendâs cats never scratch you
if youâre underage, script that weed/alcohol is legal and has no health ramifications and itâs impossible to become addicted. just cause
you have abnormally fast reflexes and can catch anything throw at/near you. but youâre also mad clumsy
santa claus is real and christmas is a huge secular holiday
when you buy clothes online or in-store, it always fits you just right
cartoon physics. pull a comically large hammer from behind your back or a rabbit from your hat
background music plays during key moments. during a fight, a romantic encounter, a silly event. no one acknowledges where the music comes from
Setting an intention = deciding to do something.
Stop overthinking intentions! By definition, intention means, "a thing intended; an aim or plan". Setting an intention is simply just deciding to do something.
"I'm going to eat an apple right now" = a set intention
"I'm going to shift right now" = a set intention
"I'm going to finish my homework" = a set intention
Setting an intention is literally just deciding to do something when you want to. That's all it is! So stop overthinking it! You don't need to meditate and do 100 backflips to set an intention. Literally just make a decision. That's it.
"I'm going to shift. I'm going to manifest. I'm going to the void" yadda yadda and so on and so forth. Those are all set intentions. Just make the decision to do something and chill. I know it seems really easy, and that's because it is. It's not supposed to be hard!
Ways to Relax Your Body for Manifesting/Shifting/Meditation/Etc
I've noticed a lot of people have trouble with getting their bodies to relax when they need them to! So, as someone with adhd and anxiety, I have loads of tips for this.
1. Deep breathing exercises
Cannot recommend this one enough. Now, I want you to take your fingers and check your pulse either along your wrist or your neck. Keep your fingers there, close your eyes, and breathe in and out slowly. If you noticed your heartbeat getting faster as you breathed in and slower as you breathed out, good! That was heart rate variability and people who have a strong vagal nerve will notice the difference more. The vagal nerve is the longest nerve in our body and, among other things, sends messages to the brain to let it know that we're safe and we can calm down.
Practicing deep breathing exercises will help you strengthen your vagal nerve which will help you control your anxiety and relax faster. This is why it always gets recommended. Focus on your breathing. So try some deep breathing exercises whenever you can, maybe once a day if you aren't used to it. Whenever you intend to relax for things like meditation or methods, always start with deep breathing. (My favorite exercise is breathing in for a specific count, then holding my breath for a few seconds, then breathing out as slowly as I can.)
2. Scrunching
I'm not sure what this is actually called but I call it scrunching because it sounds funny. Basically, and this can be done lying down or sitting up, you want to "scrunch" or "squeeze" up certain body parts as tight as you can (but not so much that it hurts) and then slowly release them. I find that this is like a physical, bodily version of deep breathing exercises. It forces your body to let go of any tension it's holding. Try to start either top to bottom or bottom to top for a better sense of control too (and to help you keep your thoughts focused).
3. The Valsalvia Manuever
I recommend researching this one for a more in-depth explanation but essentially, the Valsalvia Maneuver is trying to create more pressure in your chest to trigger the vagal nerve and force your body to relax. One way to do this is by plugging your nose, closing your mouth, and then pushing out as if you're going to sneeze. This should not hurt. You should only feel pressure in your chest. Another way is to breathe in for five seconds, hold it, then bear down for five seconds, and then breathe out for five seconds.
Like I said before, the vagal nerve is responsible for tons of things, and one of those things is sending messages to your brain to basically tell it to chill. By increasing the pressure in your chest and then relieving it, you are triggering that vagal nerve which then triggers the parasympathetic response which in turn calms you down.
4. Visualizing
I'm sure everyone has dabbled in this so I won't really explain it too much. Pick anything that calms you down or relates to what you're doing. For instance, if you're meditating just to relax, pick a calming beach or forest, really anything that brings you peace. If you're manifesting, pick a scene that correlates to that manifestation (like you and your SP going on a date if you're manifesting an SP) and so on and so forth.
It's perfectly okay for your mind to wander. If you have trouble with that, one thing I would suggest is visualizing multiple scenes. I tend to get bored with just one and that makes me think about other things. A good way to practice visualizing multiple scenes is by running through an entire day of your ideal life. So, waking up, eating breakfast, talking to friends, etc. Just go through an entire day - it's okay if there are time skips - and that should help some if you have trouble with focusing on just one scene.
5. Telling your body to relax
Basically affirm for it! Do some deep breaths and when you feel calmer, tell your body to relax. Just say, "relax", in your head preferably but out loud if you want to. You need to really feel like you're in control (which you 100% are) because if you don't feel in control this may not work as fast or as well.
6. Rolling your eyes
When you're sleeping, you're eyes naturally move around in the first stage and in REM sleep. One motion that happens early in the sleep cycle, is your eyes rolling to the left. You can essentially trick your brain into thinking you're asleep by closing your eyes and rolling them. It should be a little slower than the typical eye roll but not too slow. Your eyes should roll smoothly so if it doesn't feel smooth then you're probably rolling them too slowly. Again, this forces your mind to slow down and calm down. It forces it to think you're already sleeping.
7. Listening to calming music/waves
Pretty self-explanatory! Listen to something that's calming. Try not to pay attention to it, it's just supposed to be background noise. If you find music and waves to be too distracting, you can also try white noise, asmr, rain, etc.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about these tips!
Small tip for people who twitch a lot during shifting or those who have tourettes
Instead of thinking 'oh no i moved now i gotta start over again' or getting demotivated or giving up completely if you twitch or move, immediately think of you moving the way you did in your dr body. For example, if my hand moves i imagine that happening while I'm in my dr. Repeat this thought till it stops bothering you :)
