It's incredibly funny to me that everywhere people turn, Occtis Tachonis is there. He's in Gormalay, he's in Castle Klippenblick, he's in the Palazzo Davinos. Everyone's talking about Occtis Tachonis and how he's dead but no he's not because I saw him at a Candlefeast in Timmony, no he was at Castle Torch and he walked into the Endless Night, couldn't be he left behind an undead cat in Castle Klippenblick-
And Wicander Halovar is not only nowhere, he is Sir Not Appearing In Our Thoughts Or Prayers.
someone in the tags said Thimble should make a little hammock on Tyranny's horns and then i blacked out and now i have this
I really like dungeon meshi, so take this bit of propaganda
the hunt 🩸 my contribution for @storyindungeon, a zine about dungeon meshi & fairytales!
This is very stupid but it’s genuinely what I think about every time I consider skipping dinner after work
Edit: legit did not realize that senshis fighting for his life in the sexyman polls but I’m very happy to be spreading pro senshi propaganda
late summer / early fall thoughts
it is so funny when you realize that by drow standards, especially drow noble house and ESPECIALLY Baenre standards, Minthara is the woke liberal
She is willing to work with men in leadership positions even post-mind control and she will actually compliment and admire their tyrannical prowess
She will argue that the refugees in Baldur’s Gate should be enslaved because it’s practical and better for them that way, not because they’re weak lesser races that deserve to be subjugated
Like she probably gets called a libtard at Spider Thanksgiving every year while all her relatives are trying to poison each other
I apologize, I needed to draw an image to this.
this is a poem. To me.

THAT-
that is coheed and cambria. That is the man who wrote the song.
Its mr coheed and cambria
#i knew I KNEW it was going to be welcome home LMAO #ALSO WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN COHEED AND CAMBRIA IS DAD ROCK NOW #SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP #IT'S FROM 2005 (via @threedeadtrees)
I think once the song itself is old enough to be a father, vote, join the military, and drink (in a couple of months), it probably qualifies as dad rock to one degree or another.
Rewatching Projekt Funball, mentally being back at the Uber Arena, and it's still an almost PERFECT liveshow.
...Almost.
Because I can't stop wondering what could've happened if they didn't have to be done by 11. Just 30 more minutes, that's all I wanted. 30 more minutes to deal with the aftermath. Heck, at this point, I'd take 15. 🍿

On Rudeness In Fandom
Whatever happened to people agreeing to disagree about FUCKING HEADCANONS? I swear, there are days I really miss the earlier days of online fandom… I mean, granted, there have always been pigheaded idiots in fandom. It's probably been that way since the olden days on Star Trek fan conventions held in living rooms. But like…something has shifted in the level of entitlement, I suppose? It's not just people demanding content, it's more than that. There's just this increase in rudeness about conversing with their fellow fans they may disagree with, and I'm seeing it in multiple fandoms on multiple topics. I only really started to see it when I joined Tumblr and everyone turned on the Superwholock fandom (as well as the individual fandoms themselves) and started running people off for being "cringe," and it got even worse during the pandemic.
I mean, I'm not looking at the late 90s/00s fandom through the rosy glasses of nostalgia because yes, we did have issues. When I was in the Buffyverse fandom (my very first fandom), there was the Bad Fanfiction Terror Squad, who hacked email accounts and chased writers away from the YahooGroups mailing lists we were primarily on (I had been in their sights for ::checks:: having an AOL email account and writing songfic in 2000…my account got hacked once and they tried to send vaguely threatening emails from "me" that no one believed were actually from me, but I had friends who quit writing and left the fandom altogether due to their harassment).
Fandom is a community where we share things. Not just fic and art, but ideas. Headcanons. Thoughts on characters and ships and plotlines, whether it's an in-depth meta of just "Hey, these are my thoughts about X, Y, and Z!" And I'm seeing push back more and more on people having differing ideas about what they're seeing, what they're taking in from their chosen media. It used to be a more or less unspoken rule that if you had a different headcanon than someone else or interpreted a character's motivation one way while someone else saw it a different way, you'd usually try to at least hear the other person out to see if there was any merit you could find in it. Sometimes one (or both) of you might be swayed, sometimes you walked away firmly believing in your headcanon as the one you wanted to believe in. Now it's personal accusations or arguments made in bad faith from the start.
Like honestly? I can take push back for my thoughts on fandom stuff to an extent, at least unless it becomes personal. But I always make it clear that what I am saying is my opinion. It is not canon. It is not the gospel truth. I am not sitting with the creators picking their brains. It is my interpretation of whatever media I have taken in and am now talking about. You may disagree with me and that's fine. I don't ever want to take away someone else's headcanon or interpretation from them. But you can't come onto posts where someone states something that is their interpretation, their opinion, their headcanon, and immediately go "You're wrong! Stop forcing this on us!" when that's not what they were doing at all. That's not how conversations in fandoms should work.
I'm just so tired…
maomao is my favorite "not like other girls" style protagonist bc for one shes a girls girl through and through. to the bone. and two she's just a weird little freak. absolute lunatic. they have the whole "omg she's actually beautiful and everyone falls for her when she's all made up" trope but the punchline is that she does not fucking want to look like that. she actively puts dirt on her face every day bc she does not want to be perceived as attractive (mostly out of fear of being used for sex work though at the same time she has the utmost respect for women who do sex work like she grew up in a brothel those are her sisters). she's Sherlock level smart and solves every mystery so fast but goes "well thats none of my business. anyway back to testing poisons on myself" she has the 2nd most powerful guy in the nation head over heels in love with her and is like "man this guy is weird around me what's his deal. I guess he's fine though because he gives me rare medicines and has no dick" fucking ICON i love her. also she once slapped someone so hard they fell on the floor. 10/10

The woman says "Ridiculous..."
If you want to spread it elsewhere, here's the official link
[Video Description: An ad with piano music over it all, showing an elderly woman in her home, knitting, when two younger men walk by her window, which catches her attention. She stares out her window at them as they kiss each other while walking, the old lady staring in disbelief. Cut to the old woman approaching a residence with a broom in hand, staring up at the second floor window where a small rainbow Pride flag is hanging. The old woman stares up at it and mutters "Ridiculo", before getting up on a ladder with her broom to remove the flag. Focus on the flag fluttering to the ground as church bells chime. The scene then cuts to the couple from before, approaching their home with grocery bags in hand before one stops and stares at the second floor, stopping his partner who then drops the groceries as he too stares up. It's then revealed that the small pride flag had been replaced with a gigantic, hand-knit pride flag. It then cuts back to the old woman's home, where a tin of rainbow-colored yarn sits on her table. The hands of the old woman are holding and fondly touching an old black and white photo of two young smiling women, leaning against each other. Cut to the old woman's face as she stares out with a look of happy pride on her face. At the end of the video, the name "Idealista" appears on screen, followed by "buon pride" along with a rainbow. End VD.]
One correction:
The old lady is not in her home. She is at work. She's meant to be what in Italian is called "la portinaia", aka a cross between a doorwoman and cleaner of a residential building. She's in her small "office" space, at the entrance of the building, from where she can survey the coming and goings of the inhabitants. It's a job that has mostly disappeared, but is culturally very clear to us as having the connotation of "potentially gossipy, one-million-percent judgmental woman who sees everything that goes on in the apartment complex, knows everyone and their secrets, and has Strong Opinions™️".
In this case, thankfully, the Strong Opinion™️ is that those two men are ridiculous with their teeny tiny flag for ants.
