this may be a hot take but I think English classes would be a million times more effective if there was a variety of mediums involved and not just books / poems / short stories

Play an episode from a show for the kids to analyze, have them play an RPG and discuss it as a class, put up a cutscene compilation for a game or whatever, put on a movie and talk about it together

not only would this help introduce them to a variety of storytelling methods and techniques but also some kids just work better with certain mediums

I may not be very good at reading books but I sure as heck would’ve loved dissecting the themes of my favorite games and I think that would absolutely improve my school experience

The issue of trans women being sent to men's prisons isn't brought up as being a monstrous thing because of the misgendering, it's monstrous because we're sent there to be legally sex trafficked.

That's what V-coding is. That is why they are so adamant about sending trans women to men's prisons, because sex trafficking trans women within the men's prison system is an essential part of that system. Being misgendered by this isn't even an issue that's on our radar!
