grits teeth. none of you are playing tuoys correctly. here, give me the princess doll. since apparently none of you can be trusted with her. i'm going to make her do something truly nauseating.
i feel like i do 25% of what an average person does in a day and still it's too much

[guy who likes to help everyone always but is also suicidal and some sort of pervert voice] no yeah you can drink my blood. It’s fine
Very fascinated by this Walmart shirt. Could they not use the actual phrase or something? It's not even specifying "when you're mean to me" it's just when you're mean in general this particular bunny gets hurt. She carries all suffering. This bunny experiences all evil in the world.
sometimes i see an opinion i disagree with, and from a combination of wanting to keep up appearances, avoid flak, and cut to the heart of the issue, i draft a series of increasingly abstract responses, eventually culminating in typing out "falsehoods aren't true", which, in a perfect act of autofellatio, deletes itself

Racism in fandom spaces is actually insanely bad and if you ever try to downplay or avoid conversations about it because "fandom is supposed to be fun" then I'm not sorry to say this: You're adding on to the problem.
If POC speaking up about a fandom's racism issue offends you more than the racism itself, you need to think about that. You need to think about how POC fighting racism offends you more than the racism.
science has always been political. what gets studied. what doesnt. who gets to do the studying. on and on and on.

I'm very fortunate to be part of a lab with consistently high funding, but I've still seen:
- PIs mention that they were subtly advised by organizations to not use words like "vaccine" in their title/abstract if they wanted their grant proposal to be approved. They were told to use vague words like "theraputic/treatment" etc.
- Concerns that (successful!!!) projects won't get approved entirely because they use the COVID-19 vaccine as inspiration.
- PhDs unable to start postdoc positions at big name universities for nearly a year due to funding issues...directly caused by massive grant cuts.
This isn't even getting into the fucking visa aspect with all of our international researchers. I'm not the right person to speak on that but holy shit.
I really hate the argument of "oh we're only cutting the stupid projects" "they spent 3 million teaching shrimp how to do yoga" or whatever conservatives say for a number of reasons that could be its own post. But also, I work in cancer research. The funding cuts were never about being smart with money, that was a "fuck you" to science and academia as a whole in an attempt to get them to bow down to the administration.

Would it be considered “gay” to go for a walk in the evening?
