I will also post some things about Undertale Yellow and maybe some AUs, but only the more basic ones like Underfell and Underswap that don’t have a complicated lore to follow, or some I think are cute and pretty like Outertale, Inktale/Errortale or that Monster Inc. one.

I didn’t think I would have such a random Deltarune theory after so long and after just seeing a small seemingly innocent scene in a trailer, but here I am. And now with the last post I reblogged it made me actually think about it

I am really starting to think Kris's SOUL was originally cyan/Patience until the player got a hold of it and turned it red/pure Determination in the process

It seems this theory already existed, but I just thought about it now and I kind of really like it? It could make sense. We, the players, don’t actually manage to control a human with a red soul because it’s the one with most Determination, we actually make the SOUL fill with Determination and turn it red ourselves the moment we get a hold of it, maybe with our own Determination!

Who knows if the same happened with Frisk. Is the pure Determination/red SOUL even a natural real human SOUL that can be born with a human, or it can only be created artificially if an external powerful force “merge” with a human SOUL and turns it this way?

Kris is completely alone here. No enemies are seen on the right (maybe they were cropped out to avoid heavy spoilers). And the knife spinning attack, it’s the same one Omega Flowey does when using the Patience SOUL

Either Kris is in danger, maybe fighting alone the next secret boss of this chapter, who might or not be the counterpart to Flowey or the SOULs (maybe the rainbow flowers in Asgore's flower shop?)

Or we, the red SOUL, are fighting Kris, perhaps? Or they are in some sort of self-discovery challenge? Imagine if Kris was the Patience SOUL in Undertale but in here it’s red because of us possessing them or something

Okay, I better stop with my wild theories, I don’t think it’s this last one, but the thought occurred to me and I think it’s pretty cool and worth mentioning. They are cyan in the Dark World after all… Why didn’t I think about that possibility?
