BTVS “Every Outfit” !!! Xx
Can’t believe I got there in the end! When I started I genuinely never thought I would get to this point!!!
BTVS is my favourite show and Buffy is my fave fictional character, no competition! I’ve always loved her fashion and it felt right to express my endless love for my gal but drawing all her looks!!!
This is my magnum opus! My greatest artistic achievement!!!
I wanna thank you all for the love and support during this project! First and foremost I was drawing this series for me but the excitement y’all shared shared honestly helped me fly through it! After finishing an episode I couldn’t wait for y’all to see it!!!
It has meant so much honestly and I’m so happy y’all where here for the journey!!!
The other Buffy ladies will get their love eventually! Lots of my fave ladies will get their love soon! But I won’t be doing an every single outfit series for another character, it feels right that Buffy will hold that honour!!! ♥️
Superman (Taylor's Version) was written in Ginny Weasley's POV about Harry Potter and you cannot change my mind.
buffy summers really is the most character ever. she averted the apocalypse multiple times. she came back from the dead twice. she fought dracula and won. her first impulse when someone said they thought she was just a myth was to tell them "you were myth-taken." she led a workers' uprising while wielding a hammer and sickle. she couldn't fucking drive. she killed a demon with a rocket launcher stolen from the us military. she was really into figure skating. once she fucked so hard that the building she was in collapsed. she got a job slinging burgers. and she was even bisexual
buffy summers must be getting so much mileage out of the word "slay" nowadays
its so difficult to explain the absolute dread and fear to Americans about the Queen dying because they leap immediately to jokes and memes or rolling their eyes and asking if you're a royalist.
babes....they've planned a national MONTH of mourning for when she dies. all programming shifted to mourning the Queen, and god knows it'll be tory brainwashing.
a funeral costs around 12 million for a prince!! how much is it going to be for a Queen!! a new coronation's price???
the things this black hearted government will cut, or shove through parliament, under the guise of mourning?? the martyring???
energy bills are predicted to rise to £7700 ($8800) a year, do you understand how this can be twisted? inflation to 24%? they're already using the war in Ukraine as an excuse, but this??? gold mine for them.
I'm not saying don't make your jokes, but PLEASE understand if a British person seems horrified and shell shocked because We Know What Comes Next but even then, not under such a fascist and authoritarian government in such a poverty inducing time.

Still reeling from the realization that bullet journaling was essentially created to be a disability aid and got legit fuckin gentrified
Like I'm at work and don't have the time to properly organize my thoughts atm but like.
-bullet journalling was invented by a man with a learning disability (99% sure it was ADHD but his website now just says learning disability so I can't be 100%) as a system for organizing his life/way to work WITH his learning disability
-the general concept is bullet point the important things you need to do and use a simple system of symbols to mark whether it's done, rescheduled, cancelled, etc. with very little fanfare, keeping it all in one notebook so you know where to easily find the information at a glance
-people pick it up and it starts getting popular
-bullet journaling becomes an aesthetic movement largely populated by white neurotypicals
-bullet journaling has turned into creating an extremely pretty notebook that has some function, but largely depends on complicated decoration and aesthetic function that takes more time to set up than is tenable for the people it was created for
-new entries to bullet journaling feel pressure to shop at particular stores, use particular brands, purchase lots of stationery purely for its aesthetic value, and prioritize the artistry of the pages rather than the information being stored on them
-people who would massively benefit from the original system can only really find information on it from members of the aesthetic movement. There is now a barrier to entry for ppl with ADHD and other similar conditions, as bullet journaling now requires a focus and motivation to start that these same people often lack or struggle to maintain consistently
-bullet journaling is no longer a disability aid and has become an aesthetic movement largely for middle class white neurotypicals, pushing out the people who the system was created for to begin with
Yes, I totally agree. But it hasn’t been gentrified, that’s the name of a specific phenonoma, but it definitely has been stolen and capitlized, and far removed from its original point.
delicious. finally a good fucking criticism of my post. you’re right that it doesn’t fit the specific definition of gentrification. I was using the term from the angle of “people who are better off (in this case, neurotypicals, often white) finding something and far removing it from its current place as something for people who are worse off (in this case, people who are poor [due to consumerism among communities] and neurodivergent [esp those with ADHD])”, but I recognize that it might have been a little tone-deaf to use a term that specifically describes a race-related phenomenon when I can’t speak to how it affects poc. I can’t really edit the post now since it’s been reblogged so many times and ppl aren’t reblogging the original, which is unfortunate, but I’ll be more careful about use of that word moving forward.
Hey no worries and you’re good! It was more to let you know for future references than to completely dog on you. I completely understand and get what you were saying! Have a great evening!
This explains why I have a hard time finding a decent simple journal.
You just need a notebook that has either dotted, or square pages, if you're feeling super brave you can try totally blank pages, but in an major stationary brand you should be able to get a dot page notebook.
I really struggled to find info on the system, the things you need to be looking for when you search for things are "BuJo Basic" (BuJo is an abbreviation of "Bullet Journal" and is an older term so you're more likely to find more of the OG pre-aesthetic fad content there) or "BuJo ADHD".
"BuJo ADHD reddit" when googled will bring up multiple threads where other people with ADHD discuss how bullet journalling works for them and giving advice and tips on getting the best out of it from a learning difficulty perspective.
And of course there's the actual dude (Ryder Carroll)'s website which has this great how-to guide with really clear and simple pages in both the traditional set up and then an even more stripped down method called "Rapid Logging"
(Googling "bullet journal rapid logging" is also incredibly helpful to find the practical rather than aesthetic resources for bullet journalling)
He also sells bullet journals if you're really struggling to find a dot page notebook in your own stationary store. (His notebooks even come with layout guides and advice on the system included in the back and stickers too if you want to set things up even faster).
(Please note that this isn't me trying to say that the aestheticization of Bullet Journalling isn't a problem. It is. But as someone who has experienced this problem myself I wanted to let other people who also very much identify with the frustration expressed in this post know some ways around it.)
I don't know that it's an ABSOLUTE problem that people are using it as an aesthetic/creative outlet. Creative outlets are good. The problem is the idea that it's SUPPOSED to look pretty and that you're "doing it wrong" if it's not decorated. I used to make aesthetic pages when I had more free time, because I liked doing that (wasn't showing it off for insta clout or whatever, I'm not actually a good artist or anything, I just like colors). When I stopped having so much free time, I dramatically slashed how much time I put in and cut back heavily on aesthetics in favor of more pure functionality.
Anyway here's some of my pared-down-to-functionality layouts, because I just had to re-do my yearly pages as well as my month/week setup and thus could take pics of them to share without a bunch of personal stuff I don't want to show everyone written in them yet:
the "future log" page is for scheduling stuff more than a month out and keeping track of stuff that happens yearly on the same date (like friends birthdays). As I add items I write the day in the box corresponding to the month the thing goes in. The mini year calendar I have a few marks I add in coded colors for things like paydays, holidays (days off outside of my usual work schedule), and a menstrual-cycle tracker.
Then each month gets a page for scheduling, where I keep track of my time commitments and hard deadlines for things I need to finish, with a bit more space to work than the future log. I also log my work schedule and transfer over anything from the future log that's relevant to the month. Then there's a weekly page where I get even more space to write and add a to-do section for general tasks so I can pre-schedule myself to do laundry on Wednesday or whatever. Time commitments get transferred from the monthly schedule page, stuff that needs to be done but can kinda be done anytime goes on the other side.
And then I also keep daily notes where I go in in the morning, note down my time commitments and any pre-scheduled to-do's, and leave myself space to add tasks that I decide to do (I find it useful to log that I DID a task, even if I didn't schedule it) and can mark them off as completed or rescheduled as necessary, and also space for any journaling I may feel like doing about my day, things that are on my mind, any kind of brain-dumping I need or want to do.
I only use colors for coding information and on the monthly schedule page for ensuring I don't skip from one line to another when reading it. I tried the monthly schedule without the alternating mildliner to save setup time and it just wasn't as easy to use for me like that so I added that back in as a functional element.
Considering re-adding my habit tracker, as it WAS pretty useful, but it also takes longer to make and is a monthly page so I'm also considering if I can come up with a different way to lay it out that would retain the functionality without the time expense of setting it up.
(@upthewitchypunx I mentioned some of this to you a while back. Tagging in case you wanted some ideas, now that I have shareable pics.)
Bullet journaling should be useful to you. It's a tool. If I wanted to scrapbook, I'd scrapbook. I just need something to keep track of what I have done and what I need to do and my tool got taken over by people who clearly have way more time on their hands and more money to spend on tools for their scrapbooking.
If you are interested in curious, go back to the original. If aspects of it don't work in your life, ditch them. Don't worry if it looks pretty, just make it work for what you need.
Also, I totally write down stuff I already did so I can check it off. It's really satisfying. It's also nice to be able to look back and remember stuff. The older I get the more slips out of my head.
damn we got 2022 tomorrow
watch Don’t Look Up. if you’ve heard it’s bad, that’s some bizarre and kinda sus reaction from the media class. I think it was genuinely fun, well done, the acting’s good, humor’s on point, it never gets dull. its also not about how the general population is in denial, it’s not blaming Humans TM, it’s about how politicians and big tech hold all the power and are going to thwart ordinary people’s best efforts to stop catastrophes. it’s legit

“Career at NASA”. That’s kind of like saying Michaelangelo was “a successful painter.” Technically accurate, but gives you no idea. The astronauts trusted HER calculations over those done by actual computers.
For future reference.
Thank you.
For those who would ever need it. -C
reblogging here because i can see this being relevant to anyone who’s ever tried to get out of an abusive relationship
Reblogging because that last comment made me reread the whole thing in a new light and realize this could be vital information. So, putting it out there for everyone, and hoping no one ever really needs it.
