BILDRAUSCH. DRAWINGS 1966-2018 A project to redesign The Most Beautiful Swiss Book 2018.  The first image is the original book which is 492 pages, 32.5x24.1x5.1cm, displaying Swiss photographer- Walter Pfeiffer’s drawings.  The redesign version is only A4 size with 8 pages, still contains selected drawings that Walter Pfeiffer did. The redesign version is more approachable like a sticker collection book.

Patches Portraits 8 interviews, 8 patches “What is the good quality of you that you think deserves a patch?” When an astronaut completed a mission, they receive a patch . When a scout finished a task, they receive a patch.  I was really into the aesthetic of patches and used to be a collector of them.  When I was told to make portraits I wanted to know more about my dear friends, and what they think about themselves. Love, Hummus started with a eulogy by Hummus-a pot of Monstera in my room. This book is a production 400 years from the future when we can actually communicate with other earthlings.  Every page is an observation of Hummus per day, which turns out to be a diary of mine from Hummus’ perspective.

We’re All in This Together Quoted by David Bennewith "A documentation of Rietveld Zurich edition 2019, made by Joyce Chang and Pablo Bardinet Fernandez. Rietveld Zürich is an annual 6-weeks program for graduation year students in the graphic design department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is organised by the graphic design department at the Rietveld in collaboration with Zurich based Swiss graphic designers Julia Born and Laurenz Brunner, who structure the program. As the students continue their studies in another city, they engage in assignments, studio visits, lectures, and excursions that take advantage of Switzerland’s undeniable design history. The 6-weeks program concludes with an exhibition of the students' works and a party. Rietveld Zürich is an extensive exercise in studying together."

Recreating work that was created by Mark Emil Poulsen for the Rietveld Turns 50 Exhibition with the fact “The most lend book from the library in the school year 17/18″.  The cake was originally printed as an A0 poster with confetti sprinkled all over the image. Due to the restriction on the exhibition the cake itself can’t be present (unfortunately).  For the recreation I think it is important to stick with the idea of celebration so I got the cake with a 50+1 candle and I burned some ceramic plates for people to enjoy around the table.

Idiota by Gian Carlo Spillanzani  Workshop with Radim Peško and Maki Suzuki (2019) We were all given a book title and its author at the beginning of the workshop. Later on it was revealed that all the given names are fake book titles from A Perfect Vacuum by Stanisław Lem. I chose Idiota and came up with this idea of how can a design be “stupid” and “doesn’t make sense”. The result came out with an over-sized book that doesn’t fit on a book shelf.
