visited the opening of anila quayyum agha’s exhibit “walking with my mother’s shadow” under sidrah’s directive last night, at the aicon gallery in noho. we got there a little early with relatively no one around - this is the type of piece where its effect is compounded with surrounding stillness and emptiness. check it out during the day, skip the crowds, lie down, go to bed, hug some shadows.

annual murder mystery dinner party. eight of us (two not in set) get together and dress up and act thematically according to our given characters, then yell and accuse each other for four hours as we eat pizza and snacks. thanks to muneeba for orchestrating the night each year <3
