Going next week for first ultrasound and I am extremely nervous. Plus side I haven't been able to eat anything but rice and chicken for 3 weeks now which means I've actually lost some weight which I needed to lose (I am currently clinically overweight). Bad news it's triggering my fear of food so now I don't know if it's actually making me sick or if I'm convincing myself it's making me sick. I went through this along with my eating/exercise disorder when younger. I wouldn't dare step foot in a restaurant for fear of becoming ill in front of everyone. I would only eat very few select foods. I find myself thoroughly inspecting my food before eating and if something even seems slightly off I'm instantly sick and can't eat it. Sometimes even imagining the food makes me sick. Welcome to another day in the life of is it from being pregnant or from my mental illness 😭. Trying to stay as healthy both physically and mentally. So exhausted. Just trying to talk myself through it 🤷‍♀️.

I’m generally good at science but my teacher (no offense to him just facts) had very little understanding of the English language. Therefore half the time didn’t know what he was talking about. Very nice man though. Also took calculus in high school...every student in class was failing, the teacher was a dick and made fun of you in front of class if you asked questions/didn’t understand something. The only reason we all passed is because he said if we took part in the school debate he would raise our grades to a C. 

[G]- What is something cool about your grandma/grandpa?  Well none of them are around anymore unfortunately. My memory sucks so unfortunately can’t remember much. I remember going and playing my little pony at my one grandma’s house, she had a whole bag of them. Having extremely bad anxiety right now. With everything going on in the world plus just having a miscarriage. I have cut myself once already (haven’t done in years before that). My poor therapist for Friday’s appointment...keep her in your prayers. Not mentioning the cutting at the moment. We are supposed to be working on EDMR for my PTSD but haven’t been able to due to my exhaustion and my anxiety about work/COVID/life. I work in the healthcare field so it can be stressful during these times. Bless those that are working in hospitals and nursing homes, I have no idea how they are holding up. Losing almost half of our nursing home patients and some office patients has taken a toll on me as they were almost like family. Add in losing my dad last year after battling cancer.  I think I have PTSD on top of my PTSD...is that possible. So I’m gonna be on here a while doing surveys to distract myself...don’t mind me.  Below is an accurate representation of my life right now. Everything burning around me but I’m just putting on a front like everything is fine and nothing is wrong.

Just had a full out panic attack cause my dogs baked at something outside, most likely an animal. But in my mind somebody was breaking in and going to murder my family. I'm paranoid about this anyway. Had to immediately check all doors/windows locked then ran to bedroom window to look out (it's up high so can't be accessed). Repeat this several times. Then go into full on shaking, crying, hyperventilating mode. Climbed in bed under weighted blanket and hubby comforted me (sorry for waking you up).

This is the first time I've had a panic attack around our new puppy (6 months old now, we got him at 3 months old). He immediately caught on . Came up laid on my chest and started licking my face. This immediately helped snap me out of it. I or nobody else in no way have trained him to do this or any other task other than basic commands (sit, stay, etc.). We weren't planning on training him for therapy purposes...he was just supposed to be our family pet. But now I'm really considering it since he seems to have a natural talent. Thank God we decided to rescue him. He is rescuing me as well.

So crazy realization. I think that my birth control pills were causing my severe depression and anxiety for the last 3 years. I always attributed it to having my daughter and having some form of postpartum depression. But I stopped taking it a little over a month ago and I feel happier, less anxious, less on edge. My sex drive is back. I have sensation in my boobs and vagina again, I can actually enjoy sex again (sorry for the TMI but this is seriously how bad it affected my life these past years). All this time I've been attributing it to having a child and things just not being right because of that. Literally the only other change since having my daughter was starting to take birth control. How did I not connect the dots earlier! And come to think of it all the other times in my life I was on some sort of birth control was when my depression was at it's worst. The only times I have ever felt "normal" was the 2 years before having my daughter that I was off birth control and while I was pregnant. The lightbulb has gone off. I don't think it's the whole reason I've been having anxiety issues but I think it played a huge factor. I feel like a new person. I feel like I've found myself again. I seriously want to cry right now just because of how different I feel. I never thought I'd feel this way again 😭. I was losing hope.

I'm all for people being able to have their own opinions. But when your pro life and post something with all the reminders about when a heartbeat develops, this is what my feet look like at 10 weeks old, etc. And then at the bottom it says something like I was meant to be. That makes it sound like people that became pregnant because of rape were meant to be raped so this embryo/fetus could exist. So when I was 14 I was meant to be pushed down the stairs after saying no to sex, being told no one else would ever want me, then being held down, raped and impregnated against my will was meant to be. That I should have just let it grow inside me, with a constant reminder of my abuser, then having something else for my abuser to hold against me was meant to be. Okay then. Let me know when you find yourself or a loved one in this situation if you think it was meant to be. Just saying everyone has a different story as to why they make the choices they make. Sometimes words can hurt more than you realize. Think before you speak/post.

I would just like to say how important the support and reaction from this mom is. I can speak truths to this as I was personally in this position. Although my parents were supportive they didn't give me a whole lot of options and made it clear that there was only one option. And it mostly centered around what kind of shame it would bring and how my life would be ruined. That being said my decision would still have remained the same as my pregnancy was a result of rape and also was not healthy as I had an eating disorder at that time. I definitely would not have been able to physically or mentally carry the pregnancy out. But this reaction would have made such a difference in an already scary and difficult time in my life at that time. I don't resent my parents for that because they still stood by my side when they could have easily just kicked me out or who knows what else. They also didn't know the full story. I hadn't told anyone that I was in an abusive relationship or that I had an eating disorder yet. All I know is that is still one of the hardest decisions I ever had to made and I still have a hard time wondering if I made the right choice at times. But also know that had I made a different choice my life would likely not be where it is today and for that I am thankful.

Side note always be understanding and supportive because you don't know what people are going through even if they seem okay on the outside.
