ok so hear me out..... abbacchio with high school teacher reader who is very sweet and lovely to her studants
you met at a bar, your voice was loud and you laughed obnoxiously anytime a friend of yours made a joke. but he couldn't stop staring at you.
"take a picture, it'll last longer!" you teased.
and now here he was, awkwardly standing in the school corridors waiting for you to wrap up the day. some of the students stayed back for extracurricular activities. others just wanted to go home.
“hey, you.” he heard your voice, your business casual attire as your footsteps grew louder the closer you got. “were you waiting out here for me?”
“why else would i be here?” he shot back and you giggled.
"hey miss! thank you again for rounding my grade up to a B. i really did try hard in your class and i needed it." one of your students had walked up to you.
"of course. see with hard work and being honest, you'll do great things. you're a smart kid, i've always believed in you." you smiled and they gave a comforting hug before pulling away. they ran off with a wave.
abbacchio stared at you the whole time, feeling the air knock out of his lungs at your warm ambiance. you were always this radiant.
"are you like that with all your students?" he asked you.
"sometimes all they have is me. they live different lives and school can be an escape for them. i treat them like they're my own." you hummed contently.
abbacchio didn't say anything, it was hard to speak when he felt like invisible arrows were shooting directly at his heart. you were too sweet, he felt like he was gonna taint you if you hung out with him for too long. you were complete opposites.
but he failed to notice the way you looked at him back with the same longing.
