My buddy R3troSpeck made the Vash design, and I designed Knives! :] (I know this meme has been done before with them but it hasn’t been done with our versions of them, so this is still unique to me anyways-)

Howdy! This blog is for our Trigun rewrite AU co-owned by @nacho-calamity (aka @zillions-utensils) and @r3trospeck!

This blog is run by two people, we'll both be posting and responding over here! ^^

(I'll edit this post with introductions for us later!)

About the AU: -It started out primarily as a rewrite of stampede/stargaze, (as we were discontent with the direction that series went in like many other fans) but we’ve started incorporating more ideas from 98, and Maximum, as well as original concepts unique to our own adaptation! It’s a little bit of everything and its OWN thing at this point! (we've got some OCs in here and stuff, we're just having fun with it) -We’re currently developing the story and working on character designs! This whole thing is a W.I.P, but we're making progress! >:’] We'll be posting art and story stuff as it's ready, so keep an eye out! ^^

Questions are always welcomed; we love to yap! Just please keep everything clean! (Neither of us are comfortable with swearing or suggestive jokes so refrain from that please!)

Collab AU Knives got his first artfight attack, I weep/vpos

I really don’t think Stargaze used the concept of Vash and Knives fusing together to its fullest potential…

Imagine if, similar to how Vash saw Tessla’s memories through her eyes, Knives saw VASH’S memories through HIS eyes, and was forced to see himself the way his brother does. Imagine him getting to see exactly how Vash saw him after he cut his arm off…

idk if I’m explaining this well, but basically bro would be having an out of body experience and looking at HIMSELF through someone else’s eyes and seeing what past events really looked like without his own biased perspective.

This could have been a REALLY interesting way to force Knives to confront just how much his actions have hurt his brother, by showing him what his actions REALLY look like to an outsider. Knives’ whole THING is that he cannot (or at least chooses not to) perceive perspectives outside of his own, this could have been a really interesting way to force him to accept what he’s done and what type of person he REALLY is.

The manga did something SIMILAR I guess by having him see memories from the dependent plants of humans being kind to them, which forces Knives to ponder that maybe not all humans are bad (which he still refuses to accept at that point in time, because that destroys his entire ideology and life’s work) but I think it would REALLY drive the point home if he not only saw humans be good, but ALSO was forced to finally acknowledge that he has been just…awful.

Of course stargaze is allergic to Knives having accountability so this doesn’t happen but it COULD HAVE, and that would’ve been cool!!! (I will probably use this concept in one of the AUs I’m working on at some point)

Literally in the manga there’s always this thing where when a flashback is shown through Vash’s POV Knives looks TERRIFYING and I think he should be forced to look at that, it would be good for his character imo.

I’m constantly drawing things in the margins of my notebooks and I decided to round up my doodles and put them in my sketchbook for safe keeping. Some of these are pretty old and thus scuffed but there’s a few good ones too idk

Been thinking a bunch about the version of Knives I’ve been scheming for the shared AU my friend and I are making together (this knives)

and I’m thinking he’s probably gonna start out more similar to stampede where he’s a little more “put together”, but then after he comes back from dying in the July incident he gets that later stage Trigun maximum “mentally in the torment nexus 24/7” energy. He went from playing the piano like a little fancy man, to chewing on his fingers like he did as a kid, and chopping all of his hair short (he’s gonna have the manga haircut post July too probably) all this to say death changed him a bit. He looks tired all the time now, and his emotional regulation is even worse than before. He’s not doing great. 👍

I was dabbling in trying to find a sort of “nostalgic” looking style, (somewhat inspired by unknown person’s law of talos animations!) and apparently Vash was my first choice to draw for that experiment idk

I hadn’t even realized people were talking about this because I had muted notifications on that most recent art upload but to the people who keep asking about why reblogs are disabled I guess I’ll explain:

Pretty much, I am just a very anxiety prone person and I like having my reblogs off because it quells some worries that I have, I just feel at ease having things that way. Sorry that I’m messing up the tumblr ecosystem with my weirdness but usually like…nobody but maybe three people on average looks at my posts so this has never been anything I thought anyone would be bothered by.

Kinda dunno what to do now because I still don’t entirely feel ready to enable reblogs on that post but people keep talking to me about it. ;_;
