Since @whatbigotspost is looking more for comments now than memes….saw this on a discussion regarding Kaepernick’s recent refusal to stand during the anthem and there’s some real gems here, complete with the outright stated lack of respect for black people as human beings. As a veteran myself, I’m tired of people using as us props in this discussion (and I don’t consider other veterans exempt from that). Since when does the anthem and flag refer solely to the military anyway? And if what is supposed to typify and embody America you see as the military….well that says something doesn’t it.
Also, multiple veterans have been killed by police in the past few years so Kaepernick is, de facto, standing up for them as well in his protest.
Last, any veteran should respect and defend his freedom of expression, speech, and peaceful protest.
Plus the army fought for our right to not only do things, but not do things. Like standing up for an anthem.
Honestly these aren't finished but . . .

NBC’s Dan Hicks said that swimmer Katinka Hosszu’s husband is the “man responsible” for her win
Behind every good woman, there’s a man responsible. Right?! Wrong. So said the internet after NBC commentator Dan Hicks swung the spotlight off Katinka Hosszu, a Hungarian swimmer who’d just broken the world record in the 400-meter individual medley, and onto her husband/coach, Shane Tusup. And even more disturbingly, Hicks refuses to reevaluate his comment.
