The current administration is reversing its edict that any hospital providing gender affirming care to minor patients will lose its funding via Medicaid/Medicare. It's wonderful to watch the bigots lose and I'm totally here for it, but it's not a complete victory yet.

We have to put a metric shit ton of pressure on medical institutions that preemptively stopped providing gender affirming care for minors and we have to light a fire under their asses, the like of which the world has never seen.

As well as reframing holidays as something very drastic, it's also the reframing them as something new that I find insidious. Obviously having holiday time is nothing new but when you wrap it up in different wording and then say it's a new generation thing...well that's a great way of making susceptible older generations of people feel uncomfortable taking holiday time.
