A big reason that the people who insist on using he/him for Jax anger me, who point to Gooseworx saying she "doesn't care" that people do that as justification for it, is that Jax isn't just a cartoon character. She is Gooseworx self insert, by her own admission.

Just think for two seconds what that means. Did y'all forget when she said she was dissapointed that people were posting less art of Jax being tortured? Did you not pay attention when Jax said through tears "you aren't supposed to care about me."

Gooseworx put her struggle with sepf acceptance and forgiveness on full display. She bared her wounded soul to the world, and continues to do it. Don't you think that "I don't care if you misgender my self insert" is part of that?

And then thousands of you have taken that opportunity to stab her in the heart. You've taken that invitation to hurt her, from a woman who struggles with the beleif that she deserves to be punished, as an oportunity to hurt her.
