attempt to read/watch/play/etc. every sherlock holmes adaptation i can get my hands on
TV:
Elementary (2012) (S6/7)
honestly whatever toxic yuri thing watson and moriarity have going on could have carried the show for another season, sherlock and watson qpp supremacy 🤍🖤💚, kind of a slog to get through all 7 seasons in a few weeks, daytime tv should probably be watched one ep a week so that you have time to let the heart grow fonder between watching the exact same song and dance 80 times in a row
BBC Sherlock (2010) (S3/4)
i can't fucking do it _(:[」∠)_
Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century (S-/2)
The Irregulars (2021) (S-/1)
The Baker Street Boys (1983) (S-/1)
Young Sherlock (2026) (S-/1)
Movies:
The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976)
Sherlock Jr. (1924)
i firmly believe that the kind of people that now includes cave divers used to be made up of stuntmen before they put all those pesky safety regulations in place
Without a Clue (1988)
Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars (2007)
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011),
Radio:
The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, Nigel Bruce and Tom Conway)
fun little casefics, i'm especially fond of how holmes and watson take the time to poke fun at each other whenever possible
Sherlock Holmes (1952-1969 Carleton Hobbs and Norman Shelly) (S-/13)
The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1998-present) (S-/)
The Classic Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (2005/2016) (E-/64)
Sherlock Holmes: The Voice of Treason (2020)
Books:
Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King (-/20 +novella?)
Holmes pastiches by Nicholas Meyer (-/7)
Sherlock Holmes (1899) four-act play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The Speckled Band (1910) play by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The Crown Diamond (1921) play by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Sherlock Holmes saving Mr. Venizelos by unknown
The Adventure of the Unique "Hamlet" by Vincent Starrett
Sherlock Holmes and the Lady in Black by June Thomson
it's fine i guess, i personally disliked it because watson comes off as snippy and mean spirited in a way that really doesn't fit post retirement sherlock and watson, the sexism is also really forced and yet again does not fit post scandal in bohemia sherlock or just generally watson who is worse than sherlock here
The Baker Street Boys by Brian N. Ball
a couple of fun little kids stories set in the world of sherlock holmes from the perspective of the baker street irregulars, it's very funny that they have a picture of sherlock on their wall at home that they point to whenever somebody says "what would sherlock do?", apparently this was a tie in for a tv series so on the list it goes
The Baker Street Four by Olivier Legrand and J.B Dijian (Vol.1, Vol.2, Les Maitres de Limehouse) (might be getting a french tv series)
Baker Street: A Musical Adventure of Sherlock Holmes by Jerome Coopersmith
Baker Street Irregulars by Terrance Dicks (The Case of the Missing Masterpiece, THe Case of the Fagin File, The Case of the Blackmail Boys, The Case of the Cinema Swindle, The Case of the Ghost Grabbers, The Case of the Cap Catchers, The Case of the Crooked Kids, The Comic Crooks, The Haunted Holiday, The Criminal Computer)
Sherlock Holmes: The Baker Street Irregulars (V-/4) (tie in play?)
The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz
Mycroft and Sherlock by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Anna Waterhouse
Games:
Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. II, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective Vol. III
The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel, The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Rose Tattoo
