i came here to say that i really enjoyed superman, i think this is everything a superhero movie needs to be, you leave wanting to be a better, nicer person… i can’t overstate how much they really nailed the tones of the characters here and i also feel like above all else, it really dialogues so well with what is happening rn in palestine, it was gorgeous undoubtedly. i left the theaters a bigger fan of supes!

Reading a book about slavery in the middle-ages, and as the author sorts through different source materials from different eras, I am starting to understand why so many completely fantastical accounts of "faraway lands" went without as much as a shrug. The world is such a weird place that you can either refuse to believe any of it or just go "yeah that might as well happen" and carry on with your day.

There was this 10th century arab traveller who wrote into an account that the fine trade furs come from a land where the night only lasts one hour in the summer and the sun doesn't rise at all in the winter, people use dogs to travel, and where children have white hair. I don't think I'd believe something like that either if I didn't live here.

i've been some discourse about 'clara bow' so: taylor talks about fame and fading away since red and i've seen some ill intended people saying she's shading olivia and like... im sorry but you have no understanding what the song is about. it's about taylors own insecurities in regards to fame, the way they will treat her (the way the industry talks about women) and remember her in the future while praising those who inspired and came before her...
