Summary: âWei Ying,â Lan Zhan says at last. His voice is low and hoarse. âWei Ying, what is the last thing you remember?â
My comments: Oh, the a.n.g.s.t!. Wwx wakes up mentally as the wwx from the burial mounds, and just⊠doesnât believe that anyone likes him and feels like he canât possibly fill the shoes of whatever self heâs just replaced. Itâs kind of heartbreaking, the juxtaposition of his old, reviled, insecure self with the loved wei-qianbei of cloud recesses. Happy ending, though!
Excerpt: The strangeness of it all strikes Wei Wuxian all over again. He is married to this man. They are married to each other. He tries to imagine it for a moment: Lan Zhan in their bed, Lan Zhan half dressed, Lan Zhan sleepy and soft. Lan Zhan vulnerable in a thousand small ways. But when he tries to picture himself, thereâs only that ghost thatâs a better version of him: all the sharp edges filed away.
post canon, amnesia, established relationship, first kiss, angst, self-esteem issues, insecure wei wuxian, self-worth issues, grief/mourning, curses, memory loss, lan sizhui is the best boy, wen ning is the best boy, good lan qiren, heartbroken lan wangji, happy ending

at least can all we agree that the original gay flag with the magic and sex colours is BEAUTIFUL and it should make a comeback
what's more iconic than this
The original creator made an updated version with an extra lavender stripe to represent diversity and I fell that's worth mentioning!
as an asexual I feel kinda uncomfortable that this flag has a stripe for sex tbh
the flag aknowledging that gay people can and do have sex is not erasing or invalidating your identity and if you think the concept of others having sex threatens your asexuality in any way that is not our problem
Sex as a concept could even be assumed to mean the presence or lack thereof
[Image Description: The original eight stripe pride flag with pink and turquoise. The meanings for each color are included. Hot Pink is for sex. Red is for life. Orange is for healing. Yellow is for sunlight. Green is for nature. Turquoise is for magic and art. Blue is for serenity. Purple is for spirit. The second image is an updated version of that flag that puts lavender above hot pink to represent diversity. End Image Description]
Your choice to not have sex is just as valid as someoneâs choice to have sex. You are both given body autonomy to choose the exact amount of sex you do or donât want out of your sexuality.
All of these stripes are more or less metaphorical and open for interpretation of what each one means to you.
Does healing represent your journey of recovery from self-hatred or the healing of the community as a whole after suffering lifetimes of violence and hate from outside the community?
Does spirit mean your spirituality, which many gays struggle with faith after religious alienation and abuse, or does it mean your conviction to be who you are authentically and unapologetically?
Does sunlight refer to the pride of walking out in the light of day in a pride parade? Does it mean being visible in the sun every day?
All the stripes have an open interpretation that you can customize to how you relate to your sexuality and pride in yourself. Be proud and exercise your right to say âno sex is not something Iâm interested in and I will not be ashamed of thatâ while also being proud that others can say âI will not be ashamed of my sexual desire or activity.â Because regardless of where you are on that spectrum, everyone has been told by someone else that their sexual attraction is shameful, which is why itâs Pride Month, itâs about acceptance and security.
With the community being as diverse as it is, and with a reminder that labels are not the same thing as your personal experience and interpretation with your sexuality and gender identity, but rather a starting place you can use as a framework to identify your experiences, I think it's important to point out that these stripes are open to interpretation. And that interpretation should be as broad as the variety of unique experiences within the community.

incredibly cold take maybe but instead of fighting poc about racism in the media theyâre consuming yâall could just, like, believe poc when they tell you that something is racist because believe it or not due to lifelong racial trauma poc have been primed to see racism even when it is subtle and not noticeable to the white eye and then after you believe poc maybe investigate within yourself why you immediately jump to discount poc in the first place
a person of color: racismâ
a white european, materializing out of nowhere: actually iâm not from america so i donât get this. can someone explain this? race is actually a US-centric concept. it was invented in the US. i need you to break this down for me because here in europe we donât judge people by race.Â
Being mixed Indigenous and white does not make you Métis! I've seen this idea perpetuated both by mixed and non mixed Indigenous folks before, so I'm here to help clear that up (like many before me).
The Métis are an Indigenous group of Canada, and one of three federally recognized Indigenous peoples; First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. Our heritage is rich with the mixing of European (French, Scottish) and Indigenous (Cree, Ojibwe) traditions, and we are widely known for our beautiful floral beadwork. We have our own unique culture, language, and even fought a rebellion against the government. Many of us were forced to leave our lands and hide away any hint of our culture, considered traitors by many.
So for example, having a Cherokee mother and a Polish father doesn't make you Métis! It just means you are mixed :)
By making these false claims of Métis identity, you really hurt the Métis community (especially if you're non-native!!). We are sometimes treated as lesser-than, not native enough, even as pretendians, just for being who we are. When you wrongfully claim to be Métis, you contribute to the incorrect yet common ideaology that Métis are just white folks that want to be special. We aren't. We're Indigenous people and it's really hard to be knocked down by others for being "fake" or not "native" enough.
So in conclusion, unless you have ancestral ties to one of the historic Métis settlements or proven Métis heritage, please please don't call yourself Métis! Being mixed Indigenous and white does not make you Métis.

The Onion offers tips on how to politely engage with people who cage migrant children
âRecent incidents of Trump officials being confronted in public for their role in the administrationâs separation and imprisonment of immigrant families have driven renewed concern about the lack of civility in U.S. politics. The Onion presents tips for staying civil in a debate about child prisons.â
Avoid unkind generalizations like equating the jailing of ethnic minorities with some malevolent form of fascism.
Recall that violently rejecting a tyrannical government goes against everything our forefathers believed in.
Make sure any protests are peaceful, silent, and completely out of sight of anyone who could actually affect government policy.
Give your political opponents the benefit of the doubt by letting this play out for 20 years and seeing if it gets any better on its own.
Realize that every pressing social issue is solved through civil discourse if you ignore virtually all of human history.
Avoid painting with a broad brush. Not everyone in favor of zero-tolerance immigration wants to see children in cagesâitâs more likely that they just donât care.

accepting that youâre objectively weird & owning it is infinitely better than being constantly desperate to appear normal to people who donât even matter to you
Some facts
- asexuality and aromanticism are minority orientations
- there is no ace or aro privilege
- aces and aros as a group do not benefit from sex-shaming or from the sexualization of oppressed groups
- many ace and aros are in fact harmed by sex-shaming and the sexualization of oppressed groups
- aces and aros are not more likely to be bad people than others, there is literally no reason or excuse to assume that
- asexuality and aromanticism are not desexualizing identities
- society at large is not thrilled about ace and aro identities. To start with, a lot of people think itâs not ânormalâ to not experience sexual attraction and a lot of people think romantic love is an essential part of âthe human experienceâ
- society has zero qualms about pathologizing ace and aro identities, denying their existence and painting them as something in need of âfixingâ
- aces and aros often do not learn their orientations exist until way late, if ever. Theyâre generally not taught about in school or college or in any comparable contexts and a lot of people with power there have zero interest in this changing (for example, because they think our identities are âunhealthyâ and/or because they refuse to acknowledge them as orientations)
- a lot of aces and aros have recounted a lot of really bad experiences connected to people learning/knowing theyâre ace and/or aro
- aces and aros are not in any way better protected from harm than other people
- there is literally no reason to act as if all this isnât true
Gonna leave it at this for now
Aros and aces are NOT cishet

man some of the seven deadly sins arenât even that bad. sorry Iâm angry n wanna fuck? Sorry I ate a lot? shut up
Wrath is beating someone up because they exist in a way that you donât like. Wrath is not being angry because someone hurt you.
Lust is not wanting to have sex with other people. Lust is using sex to hurt other people or hurting another person in a sexual way.
Gluttony is not eating lots of food (your own stomach will tell you when enough is enough). Gluttony is when you have enough resources to yourself that you could house and feed the rest of the population of your city but you keep it to yourself because you do not want to give up the power associated with it.
Greed is not wanting to improve the state of your material life because it would improve your quality of life. Greed is taking opportunities and resources away from already marginalized people. (And if someone tells you that a service you benefited from and it actively improved your life was not meant for you specifically, then there needs to be more of that resource).
Envy is not looking at someone who has a higher quality of life and wanting to improve it. Envy is when you are looking to take away from someone who is in the same situation as you. The example the Bible (or catholic school) uses is a man looking at another manâs wife when his own wife loves him very much and is equal to the other woman in every way that is important.
Sloth (aka laziness) isnât when youâre exhausted or hurting and being too tired to do anything else. Sloth is when one contributed nothing to the work and yet reaps the rewards of the work.
Pride is when you think of yourself of greater than your peers and your fellow humans. Pride is also when you think of yourself greater than God. Pride is not being proud of yourself or others for accomplishing something that was difficult. You are allowed to be proud of your hard work and your accomplishments.
