which mlp character would be a terf4terf?
This is the best ask I've ever gotten, thank you so much. I assume you mean ships from MLP so I'll try to have reasoning for some of these but sometimes, I just like a ship and you all have to suffer.
My beloved Appledash! First of all, elder lesbians so immediately a point in their favor. Secondly, the element of honesty(once learning about the movement) wouldn't feel the need to lie to keep mens feelings intact. Applejack would be nice about it sure but I think if you were to ask her her thoughts on lying to TISs(Trans identified stallions) about passing or even that they were mares, she wouldn't be able to lie. The element of loyalty would feel the need to stay loyal to her wife but also to all mares. It is important to note that I do think Zephyer Breeze would transition if it meant he had a chance with Rainbow Dash.
Sciset! Ah, the lesbian flag dating the bi one, as Celestia intended. Specifically, Sunset x human Twilight. I don't know, their such rudefem x nicefem. More importantly, Twilight is so well read in this universe that I think she'd naturally fall to the conclusion of Radical feminism and eventually become a terf. Sunset would take longer since she's a bit preoccupied with being a human and not a horse but once she decides to stay in Canterlot city, she'd get really into the political scene. She's already a vegetarian, I imagine she'd be very passionate about a great many political things.
Candace x Chrysalis. All toxic/doomed yuri is terf4terf so write that down. Secondly, I just really fuck with this ship. The princess of love would absolutely support homosexuality with no exceptions and queen Chrysalis... it's probably bad PR for the movement if I say the evil queen who tries to turn everypony into fucked up little bugs agrees with me but I kinda do? I doubt she's all that preoccupied with politics since she's trying to turn everypony into changelings to steal all the love but maybe her non crystalized form is more welcoming. This is the ship I warned you about where I just like it and I have to find reasoning.
Twilight x Tempest!! My reasons for Twilight are the same as they are in the Sciset ship, even though this is obviously pony twilight but Tempest...? First of all, the whole reason she was "evil" is because she was being taken advantage of due to her rightful anger over her horn(and therefore magic) being broken. She's redeemed and once that happened, she'd need to redirect her anger at something else? Twilight starts giving her some books by And-neigh-a Dworkin(guys, I had like 5 minutes to come up with the pun please don't hate me). Tempest originally dislikes the whole movement since she's trying so hard to be nice to everypony in order to make up for... trying to kill ponies but. She eventually realizes that being inclusive of everypony is inclusive of no pony. Since Tempest is undeniably a lesbian, I think what sets her off the edge is stallions identifying as mares trying to lump themselves in with her and while Twilight(bi) is a little more accepting of that, Tempest is pissed.
I don't really ship Rarijack(Rarity's never really spoken to me as a character while Applejack is my favourite), I do think that it's really cute terf4terf. I already gave my reasonings for why the masc element of honesty would be a terf but I do think theres an argument for rarity! She's a fashion designer who definitely leans a little more feminine in her designs but she has no issue designing feminine clothes for stallions. I doubt she'd see the reasoning behind "I'm a feminine stallion so I must be a mare" since she'd just hear "I'm a feminine stallion". I do think she'd start off her terf journey by just hating the outfits TISs(trans identifying stallions) wear but she'd really dive in headfirst after hearing that a lot of it's based in what type of clothing you'd wear.
I keep on trying to find a Scootaloo ship to put in here because Scootaloos one of my favourite characters but I just don't ship her with anyone so... Scootaloos a terf. Just look at her. My baby girl.
I had a lot of fun with this, especially making puns! I'd love to do this for other franchises I'm into if anyones interested in sending me asks... 👀👀👀👀👀👀 I hope you all enjoyed my reasoning and my botched MLP Andrea Dworking joke!
Dare I add my hcs
1. Jennifer x Needy. Jennifer became a complete misandrist right in the beginning, as she should and I absolutely believe, if only she survived, she would reflect her internalized misogyny and become the most misandrist terf ever. As for Needy, I think she was smth like tirf or rad-leaning in the beginning, but later would fix her views and go into full radical feminism as well
2. Caitlyn x Vi. Since in their universe there's no sexism at all and so no need in terms like that, but if they lived in our universe they would 100% be radfems even before knowing what it is
3. Sayaka x Kyouko. I think Sayaka could absolutely already be rad-leaning/tirf from the very beginning, the one who believed in the "not all men", but after awhile, especially after the train scene, she would def went all in. As for Kyouko, I think she knew how horrible the patriarchal society was before the anime even started, but came to the peace and understanding of female solidarity later, after her "redemption arc", starting with the apple scene
4. Darling x Apple. Darling was 100% a crypto from the very beginning, but later with the plot she started becoming more and more open about her feminist views, as for Apple, I think after her and Darling's kiss she slowly started going into more into it, starting with realizing she doesn't need a man for her story
5. Harley & Ivy. Specifically from the HQ show, I absolutely see them becoming radfems after like s2, slowly, but confidently. Atp, Harley started going with it even in s2, but as for Ivy, I think she rad-leaning from the very beginning and slowly became a full radfem during s3-s5
Dare I add my hcs too !!!
I don't know if those two would be considered "TERFs," but I think, at the very least, they wouldn't be too fond of trans women. Cedar is incapable of lying, so she wouldn't be able to use pronouns she didn't believe were appropriate, even if it hurt someone's feelings; plus, there was that episode where she criticized the misogynistic themes of a princess pageant (I can't recall which episode it was). Cerise seems quite feminist to me, though, so perhaps she would sympathize with the movement...?
