I think an interesting characterization of batman in regards to how annoyed he is when pulled out of gotham for justice league business is that he feels redundant, particularly n battle. he understands his worth as a strategist and someone who knows how to keep an organization running but in his mind that all could be an email and in battle there’s nothing he could do that some other hero couldn’t and, frankly, probably better. He is aware that in a super fight he is Just A Guy. while as in gotham there’s five seperate murder investigations happening right now that he IS irreplaceable in solving. this way it isn’t about superiority or surliness it’s about what he thinks is effective use of resources

if house md were running in 2024 there would be an episode with a patient who identifies as an ‘online content creator’ (cagily) where house agrees to take the case primarily because when he offhandedly refers to her as an onlyfans model both cameron and cuddy get really offended and say it’s a sexist assumption so he doubles down and becomes committed to finding the patient’s onlyfans and proving it. at some point it would be revealed that chase actually is an onlyfans model and started doing it as a stopgap after his dad died and he suddenly got disinherited but he makes so much money off it that now medicine is basically just a hobby. cameron and foreman both disagree with the concept online sex work but it turns out they disagree for different reasons (cameron thinks it’s exploitative and not-feminist, foreman finds it distasteful and thinks people should get ‘real jobs’) and spend most of their scenes together arguing about this while chase gets continually more shifty. they break into the patient’s house and there’s a full ringlight and camera setup which seems to confirm house’s suspicions. while trying to find the patient’s onlyfans house accidentally finds chase’s onlyfans instead and considers publicly embarrassing him about it like he did with wilson’s sex tape but soon realises that most of the staff at the hospital are already subscribed to chase’s onlyfans so makes fun of him for that instead. it then transpires that the reason why the patient is so cagey about being a content creator is that she’s an ASMR artist and all the soap she’s been shaving on camera has irritated her lungs. cuddy is about to make house give her 20 extra hours of clinic duty as recompense but at last minute it’s revealed that the website the patient uses for some of her bonus commissions is, drumroll…onlyfans, because she’s been banned from patreon. how does house know this? wilson is subscribed to her because the soap videos sometimes soothe him to sleep. something by cigarettes after sex plays. roll end credits.

just started watching house and I thought yall were exaggerating but no. every episode is just like three wrong diagnoses that almost kill the patient and then house is like "he has underwater skunk herpes" and they give the guy a new butthole and he's cured. and then house chugs vicodin while talking about wanting to rail wilson.
A few consistent factors about Golden Age Lois Lane:
She really loves Superman, and really likes Clark (As a friend, potentially more. She's stated a couple of times if Superman wasn't a factor she'd probably date Clark. She only says this when she sees him shirtless) She likes muscle men first- niceness is the secondary factor.
She's a reporter who will always find out the truth- at any cost. She once refused to publish a lie and was fired for it, and left with no regrets. She's also contantly competing with Clark for scoops and isn't afraid to trick him.
She's kind of a goober- she'll tell little jokes that only she finds funny. She'll also openly roast whoever she finds aggravating.
She's never broken under interrogation. She's told people multiple times, Nazis, thugs, superhumans, that they'd kill her before she breaks.
Given a modicum of power, she will immediately start abusing it. It's kind of charming how egotistical she is at times.
Her fashion game is absolutely on point, and she has, many, many different outfits. We are not allowed to see her closet, as it probably breaks the laws of physics.
She's not a coward- even when she's honestly way too physically inept to be able to escape or handle a situation, she will throw herself headfirst into it.
I kind of love how flawed Lois Lane is as a person. She's loud, egotistical, opinionated, conniving and vain- but she's also brave, committed and loyal.
one of the biggest lies the fandom with tell you is that alfred pennyworth is a good man.
he’s horrible. people just don’t realize he’s horrible because they’re all too focus on the superhero’s.
not many people in the fandom know this, but alfred literally has a daughter. her name is julia. why does no one know about julia? BECAUSE HE ABANDONED HER. it’s canon that he chose the wayne’s over his OWN CHILD. when she’s introduced in the comics she hates her dad because he abandoned her in england to raise a child that wasn’t even his.
the infamous jason “a good soldier” memorial? yeah, alfred did that. bruce wanted it taken down. alfred also left jason’s destroyed robin suit on display.
alfred is the reason tim is robin. dick and bruce are trapped by two-face and alfred just… gives tim a robin costume and sends him on his way. no formal training. no nothing.
every blame dick for damian becoming robin? wrong. it was alfred. dick was against it. alfred is the first one to give damian the robin costume, like he did to tim years before. dick did eventually choose damian as his robin, but that was while damian was ALREADY ROBIN. (he even tells tim that he doesn’t pick tim to be his robin because he considers tim to be an equal, not a sidekick, but i digress)
when bane breaks bruce’s back, alfred literally packs up and leaves. he travels. he just drops everything and goes to explore the world, until dick eventually hunts him back down.
it’s also a common theme that alfred couldn’t find the right balance between being a father figure and a butler, so he was constantly enabling bruce growing up (and still does) because technically bruce was his boss… even though he had custody of him.
edit: actually technically (in some runs) bruce’s uncle has custody of him but literally makes being absent an olympic sport But you get what i mean

DIRECT REFERENCE (Talking TO the person)
The main pair of terms Alfred uses are ‘Master/Miss [given name]’ and ‘Sir/Miss’.
His usage of ‘Sir/Miss’ is proportional to how close his relationship is with who he’s adressing - Bruce is ‘Sir’ 69% of the time, while we have no examples of Babs or Cass as ‘Miss.’
His usage of given name is inversely proportional to how close his relationship is with who he’s adressing (and how often he’s using ‘Sir/Miss’) – Babs is ‘Miss/Mistress Barbara’* 67% of the time, but Bruce is ‘Master Bruce’ only 25% of the time.
*Writers don’t always understand proper forms of address. ‘Mistress Barbara’ is just incorrect to use, and ‘Miss Barbara’ isn’t really appropriate for an adult friend of the family.
The only person who gets directly addressed as ‘Mr/Miss [surname]’ is Babs. Which IS proper. ‘Miss Gordon’ is used 17% of the time.

Alfred is more likely to use a preferred name over a formal name, with people he’s close to. He uses ‘Master Tim’ 32% of the time, and ‘Master Timothy’ only 13%. ‘Master Dick’ is 24%, while ‘Master Richard’ is 14%. (And ‘Master Richard’ is pretty rare before Dick became the head of the house. Alfred retreated into extra formality after Bruce’s ‘death’, either to emphasize his support of Dick’s new positition, or to hide from his emotions.)
With Bruce’s sons, he varies between ‘Sir’ and “Young Sir.’ This tapers off as they get older.

When indirectly referring to people, Alfred makes a clear distinction between family and family friends. Both Babs and Steph are referred to as ‘Miss [surname]’ 50% of the time. The only other person who gets this treatment is Bruce, who is ‘Mr. Wayne’ 4%, and ‘Mr. Bruce Wayne’ 1% of the time, when Alfred wants to be especially formal.
(It’s possible that ‘Master Grayson’ (2%) for Dick, and ‘Master Wayne’ (1%) for Bruce, are other examples. That is an appropriate, but old fashioned, way to refer to a child. But I’d need to check the exact issues to make sure.)

Jason is a ‘Son/Ward’ 5% of the time after HIS death. And Dick gets to be referred to as Bruce’s ‘Ward’ 2% of the time even WITHOUT dying!
