This is where I post fandom stuff ✨

For now it’s mainly going to be Daredevil, 9-1-1 (Buddie 💖), MCU in general, maybe some MDZS, EPIC The Musical, and fanfic stuff.

I wrote some fanfic as a teen on ff.net (💀) but haven’t written anything in years and have yet to post on ao3 at all…

I’m currently working on writing a Daredevil whump fanfic focusing on my OC Morgan Thorne who’s powers are literally ~✨pain✨~ ☺️ basically it’s an exploration of chronic pain taken to extremes

I’m trying to write all of season 1 of the fic before posting so I do recommend keeping an eye out here and on my 🦋 for progress updates.

Also I only used tumblr a little bit as a teen so I’m not very familiar with how things work here and I’m basically a newbie. Please be patient with me while I figure it out and let me know if I make any tumblr culture blunders 🫶

In my 9-1-1 rewatch I got to the scene where Eddie gets shot and bruh. I can’t express enough that’s NOT how you portray two straight bro friends in that situation. There was NOTHING straight about that scene ffs

Like seriously the PRODUCTION choices are not remotely straight. Hold on I need to analyze the shit out of this…

Straight bros get shot scene:

Initial silence surrounding the gunshot, immediate cut back to chaos and screaming. Guy 1 yells out and tries to rush to help Guy 2 who has been shot, desperate to keep him alive. Dramatic audio; epic music, dramatic stings, thrumming, maybe heartbeat sound effects.

Overall: fast paced, drama, high energy, high stimulation. Emotions of panic, desperation, maybe anger.

Romantic relationship gets shot scene:

Silence surrounding the gunshot, maybe a silent desperate scream from Partner 1, EYE CONTACT, slow motion fall to the ground. Silence CONTINUES, sound does not return because the couple are the only people who exist in the world in that moment. Maybe dramatic sorrowful music.

Partner 1 falls to the ground or at Partner 2’s side, EYE CONTACT, reaching for eachother. Silence. Soft faces. Sadness, quiet horror. EYE CONTACT. Tenderness. Holding eachother. Literally never take their eyes off eachother because they are the only two people in the world who exist in that moment.

Overall: slow, quiet, mournful, longing, low energy, intimate.

NOW WHICH ONE DOES EDDIE’S SHOT SCENE MOST RESEMBLE HMMMM???

There can literally be NO WAY they made that with straight intentions 😭😭😭

nothing on this god's green earth can convince me that peter parker doesn't have an ao3 account where he is elbows deep in a 'rise of skywalker' fix-it fic. like, fully invested in it, been writing it pre-spider bite with ned, who is just as enthusiastic about it. but the thing is, it's really hard to do updates when you are literally spider-man.

every three months he'll post and in the author's note there's some shit like "sorry this took a while, i got shot seven times :/" or "i know it's been a minute, i literally got hit by a bus and then stabbed in the leg, but i'm all good!" or sometimes ned would log in and post with a note "hey i'm a friend posting on the author's behalf, they're healing from severe hypothermia but promised an update, so here it is!"

and the fic just gets increasingly more popular for the author notes alone. a good handful of the comments are something along the lines of "i'm not even in the star wars fandom, i'm just here to see if the author is good" or "every update i cheer for another day the author gets to live at this point"

and any reader who is a native new yorker kind of pieces together that holy shit the author might be spider-man because the timeline adds up, and they just fully embrace it. spider-man will stop a robbery and the guy behind the counter will ask when the next chapter will be up. spider-man returns a stolen backpack to a girl and she'll tell him that he "really got poe's voice down so well, it's really impressive."

ned thinks it is hilarious. mj finds out about the fic from twitter, to peter's absolute horror, and changes peter's contact name to "friendly neighborhood ao3 author". but the worst thing to happen is after an avengers battle where peter took a pretty big hit and ends up in med-bay. and during a press conference, when someone asks how spider-man is healing, tony just drops "spidey won't be down for too long. the star wars fic will be updated within the week, probably."

ao3 goes down for two days.

This repeated motif of Foggy's heartbeat. Foggy's initial discomfort with Matt being able to hear his heartbeat in DD season 1. Matt telling Foggy he's the heart of the firm in season 2. Charlie himself suggesting adding the heartbeat to the dying scene in DDBA season 1. And now in season 2 Matt is triggered mid-fight at the reminder.

Foggy's the heart and we yearn to hear it

You know what seeing Foggy’s death put this way reminds me of Coulson’s death.

And the fact that Coulson was resurrected gives me new hope for Foggy being alive 😭🙏

My Daredevil: Born Again S2E1 “The Northern Star” Thoughts and Opinions ✨

Spoilers 💕

It’s super cute that we finally get to see Matt and Karen as a couple!

Personally I think Dr. Glenn’s radicalization doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Like I get that she has ptsd from Muse and she’s very anti-vigilante now but the fact that she’s SO on board with Fisk’s dictatorship and oppression and fascism is a little weird. I just feel like they could have done more to show us why she got so extremely radicalized so quickly.

The Mayor Kingpin video was AMAZING! And I’m already betting that BB is the one who made it 👀

The ending was SO GOODDDDDDD FUCK YEAHHHHH!!!! FINALLY some real Matt ptsd!! Him freaking out at Cherry’s heart attack was ✨CHEF KISS✨

Also I’m obsessed with identity reveal moments 😍 SO GOOD

Then Bullseye coming in clutch 👀👀👀 yesssssssssssssss

However my biggest criticism…

I CAN’T FUCKING STAND SHAKY CAM 😭😭😭

I’m sorryyyyy it’s just a massive pet peeve of mine it makes me irrationally angry. I’ve straight up refused to watch tv shows in the past because of shaky cam.

When the camera is CONSTANTLY moving I literally can’t concentrate on what is actually happening 💀

I actually had to look away from the screen while McDuffie and Hochberg were talking because I couldn’t process anything they were saying with the way the camera was moving.

I even went back to season 1 to check if they did shaky cam and yes the camera wasn’t 100% steady but it wasn’t nearly as shaky as this new episode. In season 1 there were long moments when the camera was still in between movement. But now the camera literally doesn’t stop moving 😭

EXCEPT! For scene with Fisk or between Fisk’s associates interestingly enough! I imagine it’s some sort of production decision to symbolize Fisk’s image as stability and order while Daredevil and his friends as chaos. But I still hate it 🙃

So I guess I’m just going to have to suffer through the shaky cam and try to enjoy what I can of the plot 😭

Please tell me what you think about the production style so far I’m very curious what others think 🫶
