life update

i’m really excited. my friend gave me her old piano some time ago as she upgraded.

it’s been so long since i’ve played. my skills are super choppy.

i also had cardiac surgery earlier this year... and then pneumathorax incident which made breathing hard, which impacts playing woodwind instruments.

i’m still completing rehab and hope to be done by the end of this year or beginning of the new year, 2023.

Finally got around to making my own piano arrangement of basically my favorite thing to come out of the sequel trilogies. There’s something swashbuckling about Rey’s Theme that I really love so I hoped to capture that.

Sad

I really want to transcribe and/or arrange the MLQC background music but I don’t have physical access to my instrument. Well I kinda started using a mobile piano app but I’d rather use oboe. Harmonizing and chords is too complex... :’( That plus improv contributed to me dropping jazz band after 8th grade.

I’m still salty about parents selling both pianos at home, one was from my mom’s grandma. My sister bought a keyboard but brought it with her when she moved out. I ended up having to spend money on a replacement electronics for school. I could’ve gotten a used keyboard if my device didn’t break. Money went down the drain.

Sadly, my instrument is over the ocean and far away! Shipping is bloody expensive with COVID19 restrictions happening worldwide. I do not think I would want to rent an instrument at this time due to COVID.
