Hi, everyone! I made a new blog, for anyone interested, for my baby Della! Blog name is dellafinley.

I don’t usually post personal stuff, but this is Della, my 8 month old bulldog baby. She is currently recovering from a spay, brachycephalic airway surgery, and a stomach tack surgery. In a few weeks, she will undergo heart surgery to help with her pulmonary stenosis (which can lead to heart failure). I’ve set up a Go Fund me page, and also have a PayPal, if anyone is able to help donate. She means the world to me, and any amount of support means a lot!

The Fili Guide to Self Defense

Fili has many interesting weapons on him. He’s a one-dwarf army. 

 Let’s start from the bottom and work our way up…

*The Bootie Axes (that’s Mr. O'Gorman’s naming convention, not mine): Unfortunately we never see these in action. They’re either a last resort or a cool party trick - “Hey guys, check out my bootie axes!”

*The Mystery Midsection: Fili has an assortment of pointy objects hidden on his body, which is why people are reluctant to hug him (see: the BOTFA Erebor reunion). It’s hard to say how many there actually are, and how many those filthy elves stole. 

I…I think he has armpit daggers…

*The Knives: these sexy looking things are sticking out of each arm. They have a royal crest on them (in case he forgets how special he is). Armed to the elbows.

*The Dual Swords: Fili appears to love symmetry; I mean, just look at his facial hair. It makes sense that our ambidextrous hero has not one, but two, sweet signature blades.

*The BIG ONE: Fili’s huge sword. Enough said.

Apparently Fili possesses this sick looking hammer, according to the Hobbit Chronicles books. I don’t recall ever seeing it, but it’s probably hidden somewhere extremely well. 

We also know Fili is very capable with a bow, but he lets Kili take the glory in that department. Here’s a cool looking ax he found in Erebor:

truly one of the funniest things about lotr to me is how much hostility the hobbits, a race of cheerful, fun-loving farm people, bear towards gandalf for absolutely NO reason except that he kills their chill vibe

honestly the funniest thing about the lord of the rings is how gandalf is literally a minor god sent to middle-earth by The Big Man Himself and yet literally nobody apart from the elves seems to recognise this or take him seriously

#sometimes I wonder if the Bagginses deserved the way the world hurt them #sometimes I wonder if all the innocent and happiness of the hobbits was denied to them #because the world needs balance where there is good there is bad #and maybe in order to have such a tremendous amount of happiness and bliss in one place #someone or rather a family has to suffer more than anyone they’ll ever meet #and maybe the part of that price was that they have to suffer in silence #being misunderstood in their home #so that leaving is the only option #except part of them will always ache for the home they used to have #they were thrown in to this world by a wizard #and the world broke their heart #Bilbo #Frodo
