It seems to me it would obviously be better if the “no more than $2000 a month” limit were simply removed and disabled people could have whatever savings accounts they chose, but this is heaps better than nothing.

Orville Madison: a draft dodger from the WW2, Orville has been a vampire for longest and was their sire’s “favorite”. a wildly neurotic people-pleaser who didn’t have much of a spine to start with, his years as a vampire have ground him down into a mess of coping mechanisms so unhealthy you’d think he was doing a bit if it ever stopped.

Jonathan “Bucky” Buckner: plucked out of the punk scene in the 70s, Bucky is the problem child and the “only bastard in this house with any self-respect”, in his own words. he’s made twice the escape attempts of his “brothers” combined, and absolutely loathes Orville, the little bootlicker.

Michael Lyons: a closeted gay man who was turned in the 90s, he’s spent 30 years with his brain as shut off as possible. Mikey is not here right now, please leave a message. his little sister Dorothy became an anti-government conspiracy theorist after his disappearance, and never stopped looking for him.

Clover Kirby: turned like two weeks ago, killed their sire with a knife disguised as a ballpoint pen immediately afterwards. she’s a trans woman who works nights and, you know, that wasn’t really the type of predator she was expecting on her walk home, but she made it work. Bucky’s favorite person immediately.

How to Start by rthwrms

for the times when you really truly want to do something, but find resistance or that starting feels impossible

most helpful action to get into a task is: look at it options include: review what you've already done open the tab on screen blur your eyes at first if that helps fullscreen the image browse or skim relevant texts let your gaze move around how it will JUST...LOOK!!!

Your brain has resistance towards starting the particular project in the way that you've previously conceived of it. Instead of fighting that resistance, try to change your approach to starting your work. Ie, start with colored pencils on a piece you were doing in gouache, include a new stitch in a crochet piece, Step one: identify the process Step two: identify places where something new can be included Step three: brainstorm new options to fill these spots Step four: select one or more options and try your piece from this new angle

encourage yourself by asking questions start with: "What am I actually trying to do right now?" then try: "What would this look like if it were more fun?" "How would I do it if anything was possible?"

divide into discrete tasks make the closest or shiniest one literally as small & specific as freaking possible
