Hey guys I'm wondering if any fans of tmnt 2003 could give some advice about something. I've been watching all the iterations of tmnt and so far my favourite has been the 2012 series, followed by tottmnt, rise, and the 80s series last just because it's episodic plot-wise (and I really like the storylines the most). I've heard the 2003 series was very violent, and considering I had trouble stomaching some scenes from the 2012 series, do you guys think it'd be worth giving a try?

Some quick doodles of humanized Donnies!! Also, I would've added 2003 but I haven't watched it yet so I couldn't really picture what he would look like as a human.

Also, sidenote: I kinda mixed my mental image of them with their voice actors (minus Rob Paulsen, I imagine 2012 Donnie as more Japanese, but still took some inspo from him!)

been watching poirot recently and this scene of hastings watching the war movie and having this kinda horrified look really stuck out to me so i made some art of it :)

anyways I made this art piece just based on what it must be like for batman and red hood to see each other after all the stuff happened, took around 5 hours total; hope you guys like it!

the more i watch star trek tos, the more it becomes abundantly clear that the reason why modern trek doesnt get kirk at all is because they dont utilise mccoy nearly as much anymore

in modern trek, they always present the idea of logic vs emotion, with spock being logic and kirk being emotion, but thats not how tos has it. in tos, the logic vs emption debate is spock vs mccoy. kirk is supposed to be the mediator between the two, sometimes siding with one side over the other, sometimes finding a middle ground between the two. thats why hes the captain, hes able to see all angles and pick the best course

when you make kirk the emotional one, it completely breaks the format, because 9 time out of 10, it means kirk has to be correct. theres no more balance

mccoy is just as important to tos as spock is, and while i do understand why spock is as popular as he is, without mccoy, the show doesnt work. you need them both. kirk spock and mccoy are the three leads of the show, and removing one requires you to change the others, which is whats happened to kirk

I tried to draw Karl Urban's Bones but it kinda morphed into a mix of DeForest and Karl 😭 so I gave him both their features

I had a really stupid idea because I was seeing a bunch of screenshots of SNW's new episode about the crew turning into vulcans (haven't seen it, but gave me some ideas!): What if Bones somehow got turned into a vulcan? I have a feeling with the very intense vulcan emotions and his already snippy attitude things would be rather interesting! The idea of him asking Spock questions/complaining is also fun to think about. Anyway, hope you guys like it.
