Since All Too Well is widely regarded as one of the most heartbreaking songs Taylor has ever written, maybe “all’s well that ends well to end up with you” is directly referencing ATW saying that all the shit and heartbreak and pain I went through (like in ATW) was worth it because I ended up with you.

I was excited at the very clever GLAAD shout out in the lyric video, but then it just got…GAYER?! THE ENTIRE SECOND VERSE IS EXPLICITLY ABOUT LGBTQIA+ RIGHTS. 

Very here for the queerness of this song. Totally not what I expected. Also, all I want is for the video is Billy Porter is various gowns. 

Also, the single art?! She is having so. much. fun. with this album and I love it.
