Those words of eternal wisdom are credited to Aristotle who was a philosopher pondering upon the variables that can create a better structure for a thriving society. Liberation from dependence on other people’ thoughts being one of them. Ultimately, it is our ego that stimulates the fear of separation from the collective consciousness. What you think of yourself is vibrating in the energy you project. If you are confident in your skin and firm in your actions you will attract people who support you on your path. And when you face rejection and non-constructive criticism it is a reflection of others’ struggles and low points. But if we meet criticism with defensiveness and self-doubt we are mirroring the same energetic frequency we are trying to avoid. 🙏🏼💫

Fear is a natural human response to anything that is “unnatural” for us to do: being that the lack of a certain skill, the challenge posed by unfamiliar environment, the flight or fight response triggered by a traumatic event that overstimulate our cortisol level. It is unnatural for us not to be afraid while being in danger, and there is NO shame in allowing fear to enter your mind. Danger not necessarily in the literal sense but danger amidst uncertainty. It is not about not being afraid of entering a new job/career path/relationship/spiritual growth. It is about exiting the mindset that fear makes you weak or not capable of dealing with whatever challenge comes your way. You CANNOT control the feeling of being afraid but you can CONTROL your reaction to it. Observe you fear, accept it and make friends with it’s presence because fear tends to stick around to haunt us. And the more risks you take in your life the more fear you will encounter. Don’t resist it. Instead, release it: trust yourself, work on your weaknesses, be bold and certain that you got this, no matter what your rational mind tells you. I believe in you! 🙏🏼💫
We get what we give. The so-called “butterfly effect” can deem two possible outcomes: destruction or revival. Every thought we have, every action we take, every word we say, every emotion we feel — either brings us closer to others or alienates us from them. It is impossible to be positive 100% of the time but it is entirely possible to consciously monitor our actions; engage with the world on a more compassionate level; and, most importantly, don’t allow random negative experiences to ruin our overall intention to show up for others with kindness, non-judgment and love. 🙏🏼💫☘️
I remember stumbling upon @donmiguelruiz’s teaching seven years ago when I was doing a short internship for an online media and was sent to write an article about their seminar. At the time, I was cynical and ignorant of the message because I unconsciously preferred to stay miserable and blame my past for my present state of unhappiness and dissatisfaction — instead of using it as a leverage for self-growth... But I stayed in the audience and listened... and liked what I heard. It sunk into my brain and left an imprint that paved my gradual progression towards enlightenment of who I truly am: an innately positive person with a vigor for spreading joy and light. Indeed, ever since, those principles have influenced and shaped my outlook of live and how I react to circumstances.
